What is Rotting Fissure[Poison Res -(70)%] in D2R?

In Patch 2.5 of Diablo II: Resurrected, the Rotting Fissure was introduced as one of the new Sundering Charms. This unique charm grants a -70% Poison Resistance and can be placed in the player's inventory (not in Horadric Cube). When equipped, the Rotting Fissure reduces all enemies' poison immunity (which have 100% or more poison resistance) to 95% resistance, enabling players to deal poison damage to them. However, it also confers a -70% Poison Resistance to the player's character, making them more vulnerable to poison damage.

What is Rotting Fissure[Poison Res -(70)%] Good For in D2R?

Poison resistance is listed directly in your character screen and negative values can be offset by any +% poison resist gear.  In Diablo 2 Resurrected, a Rotting Fissure sunder charm with -70% Poison Resistance is generally not useful, as it would significantly decrease your character's ability to withstand poison damage. In Diablo 2, positive resistance values are desirable, as they help protect your character against various types of elemental and magic damage, including poison, fire, cold, and lightning.

Typically, players seek Rotting Fissure charms with positive resistance values to boost their character's defenses. For example, having a charm with +10% to +20% Poison Resistance would be much more beneficial. Keep in mind that the maximum resistance cap for any element is 75% by default, which can be increased to 95% with specific D2R ladder items or skills.

If you find a Rotting Fissure charm with -70% Poison Resistance, it would be better to look for another charm with positive resistance values or other useful attributes, like increased stats, life, or magic find, depending on your character's build and playstyle.
