D2R 2.7 Best Farming Spots

D2R 2.7 Best Farming Guide - Top 10 Solo Farming Spots in Diablo 2 Resurrected Season 4

There is a ton of hype coming up with Diablo 4 launching in just over a month, there's going to be a lot of people returning to Diablo 2 Resurrected or even a lot of new people trying it for the first time. Now if you didn't know finding high runes and finding gear in general in Diablo 2 is always going to be better if you're farming in games with more people - the more people in general the better. But it's not always that easy to find people to play with. So these tips are for all of you out there who can't necessarily find anyone to play with these are the best farming locations who farm solo online.

1 - Countess (High Runes)

This one is specifically better for the Sorceress, it's far from any other character but this is one of our go-to's and this is why people start with the Sorceress so often and that is farming the Countess. For the Black Marsh, you just got to teleport around looking for the tower, and here is the tower go ahead and walk down into it now the tower has an incredibly easy way to navigate. All you do is turn left so here's the mini map you go out here,  you are going to go out this door, then keep going left and stay left as much as possible. So come out go to the left, keep staying left as possible and that's how you find your way down to the next level. The Countess is on the fifth level. But don't sleep on actually killing monsters along the way as well, there's actually Ghost Packs along the way that actually have a higher chance to drop D2R runes than any of the other monsters. So if you come across any of the champion packs, take them out and you can get lucky take out the ghost packs and you can get lucky along the way. The Countess always drops runes almost every time you could get unlucky and she wouldn't drop any but the rune drops are actually better if you kill her on player one rather than having more people in the game.

In addition, you can get the Tran-Qul's Wing (helm) from Hell Champion packs on the way down to the Countess. Also if you didn't know, the Countess drops Keys with which you can then trade for runes if you want to or gather those keys up and try to farm torches yourself.

2 - The Pits

The next solo farming online place is going to be the Pits now. You can kind of just follow this path back this way and you look for where it cuts off - One path will go to the pits the other will go back to the next Zone, and here's where it splits off.  The Pits is actually an 85 area with slow and weak monsters that are incredibly easy to kill and since it's an 85 area you can find every single item in the game such as the Griffton's Eye and any unique.

3 -  Arcane Sanctuary in Act 2

Now we jump into Act 2 and this is another one where we prefer doing it with a sorceress but that is coming out to the Arcane Sanctuary and they call it ghost back farming. But we take out generally every single Champion pack that is large or just any pack that's super large in general. You don't have to kill ghosts to find High runes, any of these monsters can drop runes but the ghosts do have an increased drop chance, so these are incredibly weak also. There is the Summoner which is one of the three monsters you have to kill in order to get keys to farm torches. So don't sleep on the Arcane Sanctuary, this is probably one of the most run areas for most of the players as of late.

The reason it's so good too is that you don't have to save and exit and load multiple times once you run one and you come up the other one and head out that way. And then once you head up and finish this one, you come down and head up the other one, so you can save a lot of load times and you don't have to really search for it either because you're farming the entire area.

4 - Travincal

This spot is great for online because it's always absolutely 100% identical in the same spot and that is running Travincal. Now it can be difficult, to make sure you get your character set up right, but you come out here and slaughter down these council members - they are kind of known for dropping High runes, jewelry, and facets. It's also great for doing Travincal, especially with Barbarians, because the find item skill that barbarians have is not based on players count at all, so once you take them out you come and use find item on all of these monsters and you get a second chance of possibly finding that high Rune or great items.

5 - Frigid Highlands: Eldritch & Shenk

Frigid Highlands is another location much like Travincal that's super easy to find because it's always identical and it's always right next to the Waypoint. First, you come up here and take out Eldritch, he can definitely drop good stuff as he's a super unique come down here. Then we got another Super unique - Shenk and also this is a large pack of monsters. You don't even necessarily have to kill all the monsters here, all you have to do is kill Shenk, and then all the rest of the monsters will die. It's super quick, you could run both of those in like 30 seconds if you really wanted to.

6 - Arreat Plateau

This is an especially good spot to farm. We'll say if you hop into games and you're just playing by yourself, but maybe you hop into games that are full of people magic finding. This is an area that a lot of people will not check, so you can go take them out and he can drop tons of good items, he could definitely drop something like a Griffin's Eye. Note to the pathing, all you need to do is determine which way he's going to be, he'll either be up to the right or up to the left. If you go up to the left and you run into this wall, well it's not that way, you just go up to the right. The entire idea of this map right here is that you're going uphill, so that's the way you want to go now.

7 - Pindleskin

The Pindleskin is the farming location in Act 5 and that is going to be no crazy one to anybody. The thing with Pindle is he's relatively easy but you can run them incredibly quickly and he can drop almost every single item in the game, including the great items such as the Griffin's Eye, Oculus, Shako.

8 - Andariel

Now there are a couple of act bosses that you can farm too, it's much better on higher players count but you can still do it on players 1 solo online. The first one hitting the catacombs we're going down to Andariel. On the first level here when you go to the Waypoint, if you come up and turn right that is generally the way that's going to be down to the next level. From the next level here, you just got to teleport around and hope to get lucky, but eventually, you'll find your way down to the fourth level where Andariel is. And do notice, this is going to be one of those ones that we would generally not do unless you are a sorcerer with teleport because this would just take way too long, but a ton of people do start off as sorceresses. So now once you're down here, you can go ahead and take on Andariel. If you are weaker what you might want to do is go ahead and clear out some of these monsters first.

9 - Mephisto

The only real act boss that we would say would ever be remotely worth farming is Mephisto solo. The other ones like Baal take too long to get to, you can do Baal runs for experience and get stuff but specifically firing Baal for solo farming.  Diablo takes a long time to get around. For the map, after you come through the waypoint generally, stick to the left - it's not as accurate as some other areas but generally the way down 99% 10 times is on the left half of the map, so you just always go left to find your way down to Mephisto, then if you're super powerful take out any of these Champion Packs along the way, you can take out another group of the Council much like Trav over here. They can be a little bit tough or you can just go ahead and skip them. If you do skip them, you can come over and take out Mephisto. If you did not know this there is actually something called the Mephisto mode trick you can use for easy farming.

10 - Lost City Waypoint

Lost City Waypoint is always been the popular farming spot for the Sorceress, you're going to find it in the Ancient Tunnels. With the Sorceress, you just got to teleport around until you find the way down. It can be tough and annoying this is probably one of the harder ones to find, but the reason it's so good is much like the pits. It's an 85 area, which means you can find literally every single item in the game, including high runes and uniques to make your build super godly. This is generally known as a great place for anything that is cold because there aren't really any cold immunes down here with the rare exception of one of these unique monsters. So even though you are lightning build, you can definitely kill monsters with this build down here, but generally, cold sorc is the best one to farm.
