Welcome to our D2R Glitches, Tips, D2R items and Tricks guide. This guide will keep you up to date on the most recent Diablo 2 Resurrected glitches, tips, and tricks. Diablo 2 Resurrected is a remaster of the original Diablo 2 Lord of Destruction, so some of the original game's glitches remain, while others have been patched out. This guide will be updated as new bugs, tips, and tricks are discovered.

D2R Glitches

1-Mercenary Glitch (Patched Out)

The first glitch we'll discuss is the Mercenary Bug glitch. The mercenary bug glitch allows you to make it so that melee mobs do not target your mercenary but ranged ones do.

This glitch is useful if your mercenary dies quickly but you want to keep the insight weapon aura active as much as possible. Obtaining the waypoint for the Inner Cloister is the simplest way to achieve this glitch. Once you've reached this waypoint, proceed northwest and open the door leading to jail level 3.

After you open the door, go to Jail Level 3 and then back to the inner cloister. As soon as you return to the Inner Cloister, pass through the door, closing it tightly behind you and trapping your mercenary on the other side.

When your mercenary is trapped behind the door, move to the far east side of the room to allow your mercenary to teleport to you. Once they do, your mercenary is properly bugged and will no longer be targeted by melee mobs, but ranged mobs will still target him.

2- Mephisto Moat

The second flaw we'll discuss is the pathing of Mephisto and the moat within his room. Sorcs primarily use this glitch to easily kill Mephisto on any difficulty without taking damage.

Make your way over to Mephisto and aggro him once you've entered the Durance of Hate level 3.

When he starts chasing you, teleport over the moat on the southern side of his room, and he will become trapped on the stairs. Once you've made it across, stand on the blood spot in the reference photo for a simple ranged attack.

If you have a mercenary out for this, Mephisto will still attack and kill it if you are too close, so either let your merc die or make sure you are far enough away from Mephisto before doing runs.

D2R Tips

Character Quest Bonuses

The first and most important tip we have for you is to complete the specific quests to obtain permanent stat bonuses for your character. These are some examples:

Act I – Den of Evil for a skill point and a respec

Act II – Radamant for the Skill point

Act II – Figurine Quest for the 20 Hp points

Act III – Lam Esen’s Tome for the free stat points

Act IV – Izual for the free 2 skill points

Act V – Freeing Anya for the 10 resistance to all

These quests can be completed in all three difficulties to earn 60 Health points, 15 stat points, 30 resistance to all, and 12 skill points. If you need assistance with any of the above-mentioned quests, please see our complete Act I-V guides.

D2R Tricks

Skipping Getting Khalim’s Flail in Act 3

This skip has been patched out in the upcoming 2.4 patch, requiring you to obtain the flail. If you've reached Act III and are dreading the lengthy quest line to obtain the flail, here's how to bypass it. If you have a friend who has completed Act 3 and has the Travincal waypoint, invite them to your game. Once inside, go to Travincal and kill the council. Return to town after killing the Council and speak with Cain. After speaking with Cain, you will be able to enter the Durance of Hate Level 2 via a portal.

Skipping the Level Requirement for Ancients Act 4

This method, along with the previous one, allows you to get a level 1 all the way from normal Act I to Hell Act V. To use this method, you must have someone create a game in which the ancients must still be killed. Once you've joined their game, remain in town while the person or booster kills the Ancients and then Baal. This will cause your level 1 in town to finish the Baal kill quest, advancing you to the next difficulty.
