Lost Ark May update is almost upon us, in today’s destroyer prep guide, we are talking about how you can prepare the arrival of the destroyer class and more. We'll go over leveling scenarios, how to gear up, how to progress, what you can do right now to be prepared for destroyer, and how to make gold with destroyer release in Lost Ark.

Lost Ark Destroyer Preparation Guide - What To Do Before Destroyer Releases In Lost Ark

The Destroyer is the upcoming new warrior class in Lost Ark who can do a ton of damage, destruction and a lot of stagger. If you enjoy playing warrior classes and love smashing enemies with devastating attacks, then you will enjoy playing the Destroyer. Here’s what you can do to prepare for destroyer in Lost Ark.

Make One Now

If you haven't done it already, is go ahead and create a warrior that looks like the destroyer get your customization right and put it in your character selection, because as soon as the character gets created, it will start accruing rested xp even if it's level one. All you have to do is make a level 1 warrior, don't go to trixin and if you do it's fine, just don't select an advanced class and then when destroyer is available, you can log into this character, go to beatrice and choose destroyer and you'll have the rested bonus. It takes 10 full days to get a full rested bar, so if you haven't made your destroyer yet, make it right now today.

Leveling

How you're going to level your destroyer? As you have three distinct options:

• The first is to manually level your destroyer from level 1 all the way up until level 50. So that you can begin your late game activities your end game activities with tier 1 and start progressing it over.

• The other option is to knowledge transfer if you have any left. If you didn't know about knowledge transfer system cover it quickly, it's on your stronghold, you actually go over to the corner and you talk to the knowledge vault. If this is not here you'll have to go to a dell in the middle of your manor and she'll have a quest for you that unlocks this. And then you'll just come up to fknowledge and you can actually transfer each through all this and not go through all the details of knowledge transfer, but this is an option for you if you want to spend a little gold and you have not consumed the limit.

• The last option is to power pass if you still have some to date, they have given us three free power passes, two for vern and one for phaeton, so if you have any of those left over, you can power pass them to those two locations and then get him boosted up. 

Day 1 Cheklist 

Whether you're leveling manually, you're boosting the vern or you're boosting to phaeton. You're gonna have to still progress your destroyer to tier 3 to current content. So here’s a quick reminder on things you can do day 1 and the first week to quickly boost your destroyer up. When you're on a brand new character that has done no guardians, you will get a first first-time clear bonus for every guardian that you kill for the first time. So if you're going through tier 1, make sure you kill all of the guardians in tier 1 for that first time bonus, same goes for tier 2, get all these for the one time first time bonus and that will give you extra mass you can use to accelerate the progression of your destroyer. Don't forget to do your tower, it is a huge source of resources for you. So make sure you go through your tier 1 and tier 2 tower depending on where you are and get all of these locked out because it is super worth it and it gives you a big benefit.

If you're creating your destroyer, you'll have rested bonus and you can also use your aura of residence recover elixirs as long as they haven't timed out yet. These are super good to use, just make sure that you wait as long as you can to get as high as you can before you consume them and then you'll get extra chaos dungeons from these potions. 

So that's what you can do initially on your destroyer and we've covered how to get your destroyer leveled up in Lost Ark. Then we are going to talk about other activities you can do to right now before the destroyer has come out to prepare for its release. 

Things To Do Before Lost Ark Destroyer Releases

1. Chaos Line

If you have tier 3 characters, the first thing you want to think about is the chaos line weekly dungeon that you can do in south vern. If you haven't unlocked this yet, finish the vern quest line, it starts at eye level 1340, then go to the chaos dungeon and accept the purple quest that'll unlock the chaos line. You get a roster quest once a week that you can use to get two entries into the chaos line and come to an exchanger to get items that come out of it from the currency that you earn. And starting with the destroyer patch, we will have both the normal and the hard version of the chaos line, each that gives you different bloodstone currency, purple for the hard and blue for the normal. However, if you notice you go to the chaos line, the difference between the two is the currency that you get. The normal is at 1415 and the hard is 1370. However, the entrance ticket is identical, so you can start saving up these proof of protections that you get weekly and then if you have a 1415 character, you can start farming this immediately as soon as you get onto the patch.

2. Rift Pieces 

If you've been saving these, you should be rewarded with the patch as of right now in the west we can only get the blue, the epic and the legendary rift boxes that give us the secret maps. But at 1415 once south vern is unlocked, we'll get the secret map chest that you can unlock at 1415 with the same rift shads, the rift pieces that you get. So if you're saving these up for the patch and you have a 1415, you should be able to unlock the south vern, secret maps for extra and upgraded rewards.

South of vern isn't related to destroyer, it is related to the valtan and patch that we're getting, that's how to unlock legion raids once valtan is available. Once you're in tier 3 and you've reached eye level 1415 which is the entry point for valtan, this will appear at Operate after the patch in your major cities. However, if you haven't done the south vern quest line at eye level 1340 on the character that you're likely trying to do vaulting with, this will not be available. So make sure that for any character you have that you're trying to do vaulting with, make sure you complete the south vern quest line ahead of time so that you have access to valtan once it's finally released.

If you haven't used your express pass yet, you can use it on the destroyer to boost it up, you'll find that once it's activated and you go through and complete these get a bunch of materials and make sure you finish the final missions as well which can give a huge chunk of things that are useful for your whole account. 

3. Buy Items From Mari’s Shop

You can also be buying items out of mari's shop, what's cool about this is once you purchase the item, it first shows up in your product inventory and once it's in here, you don't have to claim it until the character is released. Once you buy them, they aren't bound once you accept them but it doesn't mean that you have to accept them right away, you can buy as many tier 1, tier 2, tier 3 materials that you'd like as the Mari’s shop rolls over and over. Then when your destroyer is created, you go your product inventory, click on the item and accept it and it will be bound to the destroyer even though the destroyer technically didn't exist until that patch had gone live. 

4. Buy Items From the Traveling Merchant Ships

You could also be buying from the traveling merchant ships in the harbor, you can spend pirate coins to buy tradable materials, the crystals, the stones that are used for upgrading the harmony shards, the xp shard pouches are going to be bound to the character but you can for every unique character that you have available, you can go in and buy the stones which are tradable, you can store them in your roster storage and have them for your destroyer when he's out.

5. Infinite Chaos Dungeon Currency, Save Up For Your Destroyer

Same thing goes for infinite chaos, if you do chaos dungeons when you no longer have aura of residence, you'll start obtaining the infinite chaos dungeon currency and when you go to the exchange vendor, you'll notice that all of these are bound, so you'll bind them to your character when you buy them. However, the tradable currency that is roster bound that you get, you can sort your roster storage, you can start a bunch of it. And when your destroyer is created, if you get a faint power pass and go to tier 2, get these crystals these shards and stones, then buy a whole bunch of materials every single week with what you have stored up already. So that's what you can be doing right now to save up for your destroyer. 

6. Farming Items at the Anguished Isle

You'll also be farming these kinds that you get at the anguished isle which is going to be just outside of punica, so if you go outside punica in the bay go down to anguish isle, you will get a daily quest that's roster quest to get these unique currency for anguish aisle. A lot of these are roster limited which means you can only get them once. However, the life leap stones and the honor leap stones are per character which is what hold limit means, which means that if you start farming these crimson skins and you save them up when you have the destroyer you can have him travel over to anguish aisle and then for this amount of currency, you can pick up 50 honor leap stones and 50 life leap stones which will help your destroyer through tier 2 and tier 3. If you're desperate for life shards, remember that you can store up your Azure wind crystals on Azure wind island which is just right outside of Yorn’s Cradle, you just need to finish the quest line on the island and you can pick up these crystals and then you'll be able to buy a weekly limit of shards and these are bound by character. You can store these and have them ready for the destroyer if you want to pick up some more life crystals.

Required Mats

In case you do have a faint power pass, here you will know the total amount of resources needed to get your destroyer from eye level 960 which is where the power pass will take you all the way up to 1100 to get to tier 3, and then the tier 3 materials you'll need to get from 1302 to 1370 to start doing argos.

Making Gold In Lost Ark Destroyer

This is for people that aren't making a destroyer but want to benefit from the patch. Anytime a new class comes out or there's new desire to push higher eye levels, that creates demand which is going to help drive the market. So what you can do if you're not interested in destroyer is you can use that opportunity to make a bunch of Lost Ark gold. 

The easiest way to do that is with your tradable resources for enhancement for honing, all of these prices are trending up on US East and they'll be trending up on every region. So life shard pouches and the honor shard pouches are going to keep trending up because for destroyer, you're gonna need a lot of them. So if you're looking to save these up through doing the chaos gates into the secret maps, you can store these up wait for them to hit an all-time peak and then sell them on the auction house when they are at their highest value and this goes for tier 1 and tier 2, but it also goes for tier 3 as people desperately try to get to vault in 1415 right before destroyer comes out.
