Lost Ark Nightmare Set: Bonus, Effect, Build & How Does Nightmare Set Work

Nightmare is one of the strongest relic sets in Lost Ark, and also the most consistent set. How does relic nightmare set work? In this guide, we’ll go over the Lost Ark Nightmare set bonus, effect of different amounts of pieces, crafting materials, how to get it as well as the best class and build to use it.

Lost Ark Nightmare Set Bonus and Effect
The effect of 6 pieces is added based on that of 4 pieces. When the Vykas is available in Lost Ark, you’ll be able to get the relic Nightmare set bonus of all six items. The Valtan Nightmare set only includes a weapon, helmet, and chest.
Nightmare Set Bonus Level 1
2-piece:
If a skill uses mana, the mana cost is reduced by 50% and the damage is increased by 12%.
4-piece:
When using your Awakening skill, you gain the Magick Addiction effect if your current mana is over 30%.
Magick Addiction: +15% additional damage, skills reduce 7% of your max mana additionally per cast. Effect is lost if any skill is used while under 30% mana and is replaced with Boundless MP.
Boundless MP: You regen 3% of your max mana per second, gain 20% cooldown reduction, and 12% attack/movement speed.
6-piece:
The effects of Magick Addiction and Boundless MP are improved.
Magick Addiction: Further increases additional damage by 15%.
Boundless MP: Further increases cooldown reduction by 15% and attack/movement speed by 3%.
Nightmare Set Bonus Level 2
2-piece:
If a skill uses mana, the mana cost is reduced by 50% and the damage is increased by 15%.
4-piece:
When using your Awakening skill, you gain the Magick Addiction effect if your current mana is over 30%.
Magick Addiction: +18% additional damage, skills reduce 7% of your max mana additionally per cast. Effect is lost if any skill is used while under 30% mana and is replaced with Boundless MP.
Boundless MP: You regen 3% of your max mana per second, gain 22% cooldown reduction, and 12% attack/movement speed.
6-piece:
The effects of Magick Addiction and Boundless MP are improved.
Magick Addiction: Further increases additional damage by 18%.
Boundless MP: Further increases cooldown reduction by an additional 18% and attack/movement speed by an additional 3%.
Nightmare Set Bonus Level 3
2-piece:
If a skill uses mana, the mana cost is reduced by 50% and the damage is increased by 17%.
4-piece:
When using your Awakening skill, you gain the Magick Addiction effect if your current mana is over 30%.
Magick Addiction: +20% additional damage, skills reduce 7% of your max mana additionally per cast. Effect is lost if any skill is used while under 30% mana and is replaced with Boundless MP.
Boundless MP: You regen 3% of your max mana per second, gain 23% cooldown reduction, and 12% attack/movement speed.
6-piece:
The effects of Magick Addiction and Boundless MP are improved.
Magick Addiction: Further increases additional damage by 20%.
Boundless MP: Further increases cooldown reduction by an additional 20% and attack/movement speed by an additional 3%.
How Does Nightmare Set Work in Lost Ark
If you use awakening, you get the buff initially, the buff will be like Magick Addiction because your mana is 100, when your mana goes under 30, the old buff changes into Boundless MP, which means regen, CD reduction, and attack/movement speed. If the mana goes back to 100, it changes back to Magick Addiction. The duration is permanent, it’s not going to be gone. However, both effects can’t be active at the same time.
The skill that uses MP, your awakening doesn’t use MP, so your awakening does not really do that much damage, whether you use it to the bosses or outside of the boss, this does not matter. What really important is that you gain this buff before using any of your skills.
How to Get Lost Ark Relic Nightmare Set? - Nightmare Set Crafting Materials
The complete Nightmare set is required to be obtained by crafting certain materials from Valtan and Vykas. All 6 items of the Nightmare set need 45 Bones (Valtan) and 30 Wings (Vykas). The weapon, helmet, and chest can be crafted with the drops in Valtan, while the bottom, gloves, and shoulders need to be crafted with the drops in Vykas. The drops from the normal and hard mode of these legion raids also include Lost Ark gold and other mats.
What Class & Build Should Use Lost Ark Nightmare Set?
Nightmare is really strong when using a skill that consumes MP, the set has the highest damage multiplier, it is one of the best sets in the Korean version of Lost Ark, but it is not suitable for everyone, because of the mana limitation, not every class can use it.
