Lost Ark Valtan Phase 1 Mechanics

Basic Terms

There are two basic terms you must know

Esther skill

When you look at the top left side of the interface, there's a bar. The leader of two parties can use the Esther skill when the bar is full. Control plus c is a thirain, great damage. Control plus x is wei, great stagger. Control plus c is a balthorr, 50% less damage intake, and doesn't get knocked out.

Remembering Positions

Party members should decide their positions for the main pattern. There are a total of 8 positions 1 o'clock, 2, 4, 5, 7, 8, 10, and 11. These are places where you will eat one marble each. Classes that have a high stagger rate should go to the front. Just decide quickly with your party members.

Valtan Stage 1 Main Patterns

When you first meet the purple wolf, party members must use all their skills to give big damage. If the hp reaches 45 the wolf moves to the center and changes into a red wolf. While changing his color, players nearby get big damage. So party members must stay at 9 o'clock.

Blue Wolf Interrupt

At 40, a blue wolf lucas will interrupt. When the blue one is summoned, two wolves mark a player each. They attack the person who is marked until it's gone. The damage wolves take is decreased as they get close, so it's important for a marked person to dribble one of them away from the other. Usually, people place 1s6 and the other at 12 o'clock. Players who don't have a mark should check if they got a golden buff or not. If you have a golden buff around you, you must go for the wolf which interrupted. If you don't have a buff, you can stay with the original one.

Darkness/Imprisoned

When lucas the blue wolf disappears, players should use all their skills to quickly lower the hp below 30. Until then, the red wolf gives a darkness debuff, they can stack up to 5. If it's 5, you'll be imprisoned until other players help you out.

Eat Marbles and Stagger

At 30, the main pattern starts. The red wolf moves to the center and the note tells you that the main pattern has started. Do you remember the position we decided on before going and waiting for your position? Next, red or blue marbles will be summoned per player and will follow the closest player. Then players must eat marbles in order and stagger the wolf. For example number 1 should quickly be the first marble, the number 2 should, the number 4, 5, 7, 8, and so on. Players who have eaten must stagger the boss in the middle using all their skills. If the party isn't good for staggering, use the esther's skill way to easily stagger the boss. If one of the party members died, other members behind the dead man's position should come to the front to fill the empty position. The last player who was at 11 o'clock must dribble the two marbles, not eat them. If all the members successfully solved the main pattern, the boss will be staggered for a while and disappear. When the boss appears again the color will be changed to blue.

Red Wolf Interrupt

At 25, the red wolf will interrupt. Don't forget that the color changed. Same with before split up to 6 and 12 o'clock and hit the red one if you have a golden buff.

Eat Marbles and Stagger

At 15, the main pattern comes out again. The same pattern you did before. Eat marbles again and stagger the boss. After the stagger, lucas prepares an explosive field around them. So heads south after a stagger. You won't get the damage if you're at 6 o'clock. After the explosion, the wolf will turn purple. Beat the purple wolf and you successfully clear phase one.

Valtan Phase 1 Main Patterns

Red

The wolf uses red in every attack. The red wolf uses makes you bleed. Bleed can be stacked three times. If it reaches three a red bacon is created right below your feet. So be careful. Use panacea before it reaches three stacks or classes with purification can pure fire.

Blue

The blue wolf throws three types of dangerous bombs. First red bomb, the blue wolf's hand is covered with a red aura. After three basic attacks, lucas throw a red bomb on the ground right below random players. The ground explodes, so get away from it. The second green bomb, the blue will send this cover with a green aura after three basic attacks. Lucas throws a green bomb on the ground explosion and suddenly expands. So watch out! Third, is the freezing bomb. The blue wolf's hand is covered with a blue aura. After three basic attacks, lucas throws a freezing bomb on the ground. He freezes players who got hit and also multiplies if someone was hit.

Purple

The purple wolf creates a dark smog on the field and the player who is the farthest gets in fear. The wolf appears behind the player who was in fear and preparing for big damage. Other players must stagger the wolf to save the ally. You can guess that this pattern will come out and dodge it with your space by watching the staggering. If the staggered bar of purple wolf disappeared, it means the pattern is on.

Valtan Phase 1 Basic Patterns

Swipe

swipes once or twice.

Three Swipe

Swipes three times in a large area safe at the backside.

Fury Swipes

Swipes many times in sector form.

Blood Tornado

Shuriken

Purple Tornado

Shoots shuriken three times.  Also, the purple wolf can use the pattern used by red and blue. Now we'll show you the basic patterns that come out regardless of the wolf's color.

Phase 1 Valtan Basic Patterns

Multiple Explosions

Exploding fields are placed around the boss, dodge them.

The wolf jumps to a player and wipes people around in the air.

Back Dumbling

The wolf kicks people in the front and swipes players behind.

Spin and Explode

The wolf quickly spins and the outside explodes, stay inside.

Lost Ark Valtan Phase 2 Mechanics

Basic Terms

Now we're going to meet the real Valtan! There are two basic terms you must know.

Battle Items

First, choose battle items. Out of eight players, one player must take a corrosive bomb. Another seven players must take the destruction bomb. Quickly decide who will throw the corrosive bomb.

Breaking Armor

When you first meet the Valtan, you can see there are two pieces of armor above right underneath Valtan's health bar. Party members must break into two armies to kill the Valtan in time. If you don't, it is almost impossible to clear the dungeon. To break those armors, when you look at the mini-map, there are four pillars with blue marbles. 1 o'clock, 3, 9, and 11. Blue marbles will drop on the ground when the pillar is down. This marble will save you once later, so we'd want each. Valtan stomps his feet three times and rushes toward the player. Party members should make Valtan rush toward the pillar with blue marbles. If Valtan rushes toward one of the pillars, Valtan gets stunned for a while and the armors become destruction able until he jumps up to the sky. Party members must break the armor. When stunned, using all their bombs and skills to destruction. Valtan rushes a maximum of four times so you have to break two armors in four rushes.

Valtan Main Patterns

At first, have 3 o'clock and wait. For the second stomp, a player with a corrosive bomb should throw it. At the third stomp, dodge the rush and throw destruction bombs. Also, your skills that have destruction effect on it. As soon as the first armor gets broken, go to 1 o'clock. If the armor break was fast, Valtan will jump toward the player and break the wall spinning then go to 11 o'clock. If the armor break failed or wasn't that fast, Valtan will prepare for the next rush. Do the same but this time, your destruction bomb has a cooldown, so use your destruction skills only. After the second rush, Valtan will jump up to the sky and the spear will fall right above the player's head 9 times. Don't get close to allies, it's a lot better to dodge the spears running a circle. Then go to either side of the map not to get big damage. If you can't get out, use the times up potion. After the explosion, everyone must gather at 9 o'clock. Do the same pattern, break the armor and dodge the spears.

Immediate death field

On 130, immediate death field. Valtan raises his axe high and creates the media death field twice. The first one is avoidable, but the second one isn't. You can easily dodge the first one if you wait for the pattern right next to Valtan. For the second one, you can easily succeed if you have the blue marble effect. The blue marble will save you from the second-depth field. This is why people should eat one marble each. Blue buff gets deleted if you get hit by the first death field, so you must dodge the first one. If this is too complicated just use balthor. Balthor's protection will save everyone inside the circle. At 120, Valtan moves to the center and breaks all walls. From now on, counter-attack is able.

Dangerous Pizza

On 110, dangerous pizza. Four rocks respawn, then Valtan prepares a pizza for one random player. Red pizza will follow a player and suddenly no longer follow. Then the player must quickly get out of the red zone and use the time stop potion to survive. Other members should hide behind rocks that are away from the red zone. Right after the first pizza, Valtan will prepare another pizza. But this time, you don't need to hide it. One should dribble the pizza and others should use all their skills on Valtan.

Land Collapse and Small Pizza

On 88, land collapse and small pizza. If Valtan’s hp gets below 88. A guide note tells you that there will be a land collapse. Valtan jumps up to the sky and randomly destroys the right or left side of the map. Watch which side of the map will be collapsed in the middle and move. After destroying the map, Valtan spins towards the middle and spawns four small rocks. Players should hide behind rocks to avoid the roar. Right after the roar, Valtan prepares a small pizza for one random player. Just like one did in 110, get out of the red zone as soon as the pizza stops following. Other members don't need to hide behind small rocks. Just avoid the pizza and exploding rocks.

Invisible Counterattack

On 65, invisible counterattack. Valtan jumps up to the sky and lands at the center. he stomps once to create an explosion underneath all members. Gather and dodge the explosion. Now get ready for the invisible counterattack. After the cut scene, Valtan suddenly rushes forward and grabs all players upfront. This attack can be countered but countermotion doesn't come out. All 8 members must get in front of the Valtan and use their counter skills to successfully counter-attack the pattern. The timing is around two seconds.

Land Collapse and Small Pizza

On 30, land collapse and a small pizza. Same with what happened in 88. This time, the other side of the map will get destroyed, dodge the roar, dribble the pizza and dodge both pizza and exploding rocks. Now on you should concentrate more because you can fall from the stage.

Balthorr

On 16, Balthorr. This is the last main pattern before moving on to ghost mode Valtan. Every attack Valtan does at 16 will make you fall off the map, so be careful. At 16, Valtan goes inside the portal and appears again, striking 6 o'clock. Next Valtan strikes in four directions. Valtan does not hit the same direction, so dodge the first one and use balthorr to get protection. After the strike, Valtan smashes the ground with his hand several times to create an exploding field below the players. Survivors should dodge explosions together or use a timestamp potion right next to Valtan to easily overcome the pattern. After the explosion, three rocks respond and Valtan prepares a roar. Survivors can go and wait in the direction the rock didn't appear because roar cannot knock players out as they have balthorr's protection. You survived, Valtan's last phase is about to start.

Ghost Mode

From now on, ghost mode Valtan is on. Ghost mode Valtan has a total low 40 health bar and has decreased damage intake buff. Four stacks for a normal Valtan, six tanks for hard Valtan. Doing several basic patterns, Valtan summons clones that can be countered. Person to counter the clone's attack gets one purification stack that can delete one Valtan’s buff. Counter attacking the clone's attack also fills the esther skill bar. So survivors should take turns to counterattack. If stacks are all gone, use thirain which deletes 10 health bars from Valtan. However it failed to counter-attack the clone, the clone smashes the ground in a cross shape. This can make people fall, so focus on the counterattacks. In ghost mode, there's one main pattern that can 100 make it fall, grab and roar. At 39, 27, and 14, Valtan grabs people in large sector form and spits a roar to make players fall. You must dodge this pattern and also watch out for rushing clones at the edge of the map.

Valtan Important Patterns

3 Counter Attacks

Valtan raises his hand high and slowly smashes the ground three times. Party members should decide on three players who will counterattack the pattern in order. Other players should gather are far away from Valtan. The player who successfully countered the attack will have a silence field around. So get away from other players.

Eating Marbles

Valtan summons 4 marbles at 3, 6, 9, and 12 o'clock and prepares for a rush. Tanky classes with supporters should eat one marble leech as it increases the damage intake for a while. Other players should counterattack the rush. If some marbles are left, it gives everyone increased damage intake debuff for a while with a bit of damage. It's not a mandatory thing to eat all four. So it's okay if you don't need marbles that are placed in dangerous positions.

Stagger

A shield is created around Valtan. Players should attack the shield to break, then they must stagger the boss to survive.

Instant Grab

Valtan put his hand upfront and immediately rushes forward. He grabs all players in front of him and roars at a large area. Don't get caught by the boss.

Land Explosion In Order

Valtan spins at its place and shows the order of land explosion. Dodge the explosion and counterattack the boss.

Valtan Basic Patterns

Rush

Valtan storms twice and rushes forward, counter-able.

Reflect

If you stagger the boss, Valtan reflects the attack and knocks everyone out. Don't use skills and stay right below his hand

Spin

Valtan spins at its position.

Two Hand Smash

Valtan smashes the ground with his hands. Inside explodes first and outside explodes. It's easier to dodge if you're at the back.

Portal

Valtan disappears into the portal and instantly rushes several times. Try not to fall. Time stop potion can help you easily survive this pattern.

Front Back Front

Valtan attacks the front then back then front again.

Axe Combo

Valtan quickly attacks the front three times and attacks in a circle. Try not to get hit by exploding field. It's safe right next to the boss.

Jumping Attack

Valtan jumps and attacks in random directions. The second hit will follow if no one was hit by the first one.

Cross

Valtan smashes the ground and gives damage to players in cross shapes. When Valtan jumps and does a cross pattern, spinning can come out right after, safe right next to the boss.

4 Strikes

The boss attacks one random player four times. Until the third attack, axe follows the player. Party members can be in danger if you dribble the strikes to them.

Dodging Spears

Valtan jumps up to the sky, throws three spears, and lands right above a random player. Dodge the spears and go near where Valtan landed as the outside explodes.

Imprison

Valtan randomly makes three players imprisoned and others should help them. If someone's still imprisoned after the roar, it gives big damage to all players.
