Lost Ark Tier 1 to Tier 3 Gear Progression Ultimate Guide: Tier Progression, Item Level Upgrade, Tips for Endgame

Gear Progression is divided into exact item level thresholds. Each Character has to reach these thresholds to become eligible for advancement to further continents and item tiers. In this guide, we will show you the path of progression through each Lost Ark item-level threshold.
250 to 600 - Tier 1 Progression
What should you do in Tier 1 Progression?
1. Reach the required item thresholds to unlock new tiers.
2. Unlock new continents and their features by finishing their guide Quests and Main Story.
3. Transfer into powerful Abyssal Dungeon and Abyss Raid sets for more damage and survivability.
4. Complete the highest level Chaos Dungeons and Guardian Raids each day.
Item Level 250 - North Vern
When you reach Level 250, you can reach it by following the Main Story quest line up to North Vern, where you unlock Chaos Dungeons and Guardian Raids.
Item Level 302 - North Vern
Firstly, Complete Chaos Dungeons "North Vern Echo Level 1" and obtain a full Item Level 302 Crossing Paths gear set. Secondly, Unlock access to Abyssal Dungeons and the Shushire continent by completing the North Vern Main Story quest line.
Optional: Complete the Shushire Main Story quest line to obtain a Wish Equipment Chest containing a free Item Level 302 Crossing Paths gear set.
Item Level 340 - North Vern
When you reach level 340, you can upgrade your Crossing Paths gear set to +2 average and complete Abyssal Dungeons - Demon Beast Canyon and Necromancer's Origin. Remember to transfer into the Abyssal Dungeon epic set.
Item Level 460 - Rohendel
1. Upgrade your gear set to +8 average.
2. Finish the quest: Rohendel to unlock the Western Sea and the Rohendel continent.
3. Sail to Rohendel and finish the Main Story quest line to gain access to Chaos Dungeons and Abyssal Dungeons.
4. Complete Abyssal Dungeons: Hall of the Twisted Warlord and Hildebrandt Palace
5. Transfer into the Abyssal Dungeon legendary set.
Item Level 600 – Rohendel
1. Upgrade your gear set to +15 average.
2. Finish the quest Onwards to Yorn to unlock the Yorn Continent.
3. Sail to Yorn and finish the Main Story quest line to gain access to Chaos Dungeons and Abyssal Dungeons.
Tier 1 Tips
1. Always complete the highest accessible Chaos Dungeons and Guardian Raids to not fall behind in progression.
2. To transition into higher tier content, all your gear has to have an average upgrade of +15. This process can be made cheaper in Tier 1 and 2 by keeping your weapon at lower levels (+13 or 14) while upgrading your armor pieces to +16 to offset the difference. Do not go past +16, as this cost exceeds that of your weapon.
3. If your progression is exceedingly quick, save Silver by not transferring your gear into epic or legendary sets, and stay with your Chaos Dungeon set until you can proceed to the next tier.
802 to 1100 - Tier 2 Progression
What should you do in Tier 2 Progression?
1. Reach the required item thresholds to unlock new tiers.
2. Unlock new continents and their features by finishing their Guide Quests and Main Story.
3. Transfer into powerful Abyssal Dungeon and Abyss Raid sets for more damage and survivability.
4. Complete the highest level Chaos Dungeons and Guardian Raids each day.
Item Level 802 –Yorn
When you reach Level 802, you can complete Chaos Dungeons "Yorn Level 1" until you obtain a full Item Level 802 Fidelity gear set.
Item Level 840 –Yorn
When you reach level 840, you can upgrade your Fidelity gear set to +2 average and complete Abyssal Dungeons: Lamenting Road and Falling Proud Furnace. Remember to transfer into the Abyssal Dungeon epic set.
Item Level 960 – Feiton
1. Upgrade your gear set to +8 average.
2. Finish the quest [Guide] Onwards to Feiton to unlock the Feiton continent.
3. Sail to Feiton and finish the Main Story quest line to gain access to Chaos Dungeons and Abyssal Dungeons.
4. Complete Abyssal Dungeons: Sea of Sloth, Tranquil Karkosa and Alaric's Sacred Ground.
5. Transfer into the Abyssal Dungeon legendary set.
Item Level 1100 – Feiton
1. Upgrade your gear set to +15 average.
2. Finish the quest [Guide] Onwards to Punika to unlock the Punika Continent.
3. Sail to Punika and finish the Main Story quest line to gain access to Chaos Dungeons and Abyssal Dungeons.
4. Transition into Tier 3.
Tier 2 Tips
1. Always complete the highest accessible Chaos Dungeons and Guardian Raids to not fall behind in progression.

Item Level 1302
When you reach Level 1302, you can complete Chaos Dungeons "Punika Level 1" until you obtain a full Item Level 1302 Dimensional set.
Item Level 1325
When you reach level 1325, you can upgrade your Dimensional gear set to +6 average and Complete Abyssal Dungeon: Eye of Aira. Remember to transfer into the Chaos Dungeon epic set.
Important: do not craft the Sunset Set as it costs Lost Ark gold and provides no good bonuses.
Item Level 1340
When you reach level 1340, you can upgrade your gear set to +9 average and complete Abyssal Dungeon - Oreha Preveza.
Item Level 1370
1. Upgrade your gear set to +15 average.
2. Complete Abyssal Dungeons: Eye of Aira and Oreha Preveza on Hard mode. (Optional: Transfer your epic set into the Chosen Set.)
3. Complete phase 1 of Abyss Raid: Argos.
4. Transfer your epic set into the Preordained Diligence Set or Harsh Oath Set.
Item Level 1385
You can upgrade your legendary set until you reach Item level 1385 and complete phase 1-2 of Abyss Raid - Argos.
Remember to transfer your epic set into the Preordained Diligence Set or Harsh Oath Set.
Item Level 1400
You can upgrade your legendary gear set until you reach Item level 1400 and complete phase 1-3 of Abyss Raid - Argos. Remember to transfer your epic set into the Preordained Diligence Set or Harsh Oath Set.
Item Level 1415
When you reach level 1415, you can upgrade your legendary set to +15 and wait for Legion Raid - Valtan to be introduced to the game.
Item Level 1445
When you reach level 1445, you can upgrade your legendary set to +17 and wait for Legion Raid - Valtan (Hard) to be introduced to the game
Tier 3 Tips

4. Optimal Engraving Setup: Tier 3 is where most people start looking into min-maxing their engravings. With purple accessories in T3, you should at least have two level 3 Engravings. With Legendary Engravings, most players will be able to achieve at least 4 Level 3 engravings and 1 Level 1 engraving. Starting from Legion Raids, with relic accessories, 5 level 3 engravings will be within the range of most players.
