WOW TBC Classic Phase 2 is around the corner. We've got some huge updates from blizzard, we now have the timeline for WOW TBC Classic Phase 2 implementation. Among the other things come the new Season 2, Sepentshrine Cavern and Tempest and more WOW TBC changes you can expect in Classic TBC Phase 2. Read our guide, let's break down every WOW TBC Classic phase 2 changes!

 

What Are 5 Unexpected Changes In WOW Classic TBC Phases 2

1. Arena Season 2

On September 14, we will be seeing Arena Season 1 ending and the cost changes for arena and honor gear will go into effect, which is an opportunity to go and grab some reduced cost gear. The will be no Arena for an entire week while we wait for Phase 2 TBC Classic. Once it drops, season 2 will begin. We can use the week to farm all the marks needed and farm all the honer that's needed. 

On September 14th Arena Season 2 will begin and arena points will be converted into honor points at a rate of 1 to 10. This means 1 arena point will turn into 10 honor points. If you didn't get a chance to use your arena points before Tuesday, September 14th, you will get that converted!


How To Gear Up for Arena Season 2?

Purchasable TBC Classic Phase 2 PVP gear was released in original TBC through reputation. It is only introduced when sun wall came out or would be phase 5 for us. They've been super proactive and responsive enough to bring that forward into TBC Phase 2 which is great news for more casual pvp players and pve players. The new pvp gear is of rare quality and is purchasable with WOW Classic gold and is only gated by the reputation required. 

You'll need revered with five different factions in order to get all five main pieces that being cenarian expedition for the head, keepers of time for the shoulders, lower city for the chest, chatar for the legs and throughout on a hold for the hands. You'll buy these from the usual faction vendors in sort of the main quest hubs or the areas where you would normally buy them. Below are the marks you need for each piece,  they're all the same for each class.

2. Serpentshrine Cavern and Tempest Keep

On Wednesday, September 15th, 2021, Serpentshrine Cavern and Tempest Keep is going to unlock at 3 p.m PDT, central time at 5 p.m. If you don't have your tournaments yet, the Serpentshrine Cavern is super easy, just do a heroic slave pen and go talk to the one that gives you the quest, the Cudgel of Kar’desh. He tells you to “kill my bane” “kill gruel” that's it, go back” and turn it in.

If you're leveling an alt in Tempest Keep (The Eye), it takes longer. You have to do borax charge, the cipher of damnation and then you have to kill meg theradon, in addition to unlocking five reputations and heroic. However, the high king malgar rule the dragon killer and meg theradon will now drop two tiers four tokens each. 

When Serpentshrine Cavern and the Eye are released, the new raid bosses leo thoros, the blind fathom lord karathrass, lady vouch void reaver and kel'thos sunstrider elsa will drop two tiers 5 tokens. The karazhan bosses drop to your tokens. The curator and prince malcazar will not be dropping two tier tokens.


3. New 

On Wednesday, September 15th, not only we're going to get the shot tower sky guard and ogre lock content on Wednesday, September 15th, but also we're going to get the new professional recipes, the engineering goggles and swift flight form for druids. We're expecting to see some cost reduction because druids are going to be bouncing around farming up tons of herbs while still in their flight form. 


4. Battleground

Burning crusade classic same faction battlegrounds permanently enabled for the remainder of the burning crusade, along with scheduled weekly maintenance in each region. Blizzard is re-enabling the same faction battlegrounds which will now occur when an opposite faction match cannot be made after a short time. Blizzard intends for the system to be in place for the rest of the Burning Crusade classic. We're also re-enabling the setting that restricts pre-made battleground groups to a maximum of five players.


5. 1.14 Patch

World of Warcraft Classic era ptr is updated to patch 1.14. Blizzard has announced that they've just opened the WoW Classic era public test realm for version 1.14 which is now available for testing, while 1.14 does not include any new testable content. It's important to establish this version since it accompanies recent server-wide and infrastructure updates that have been made to the World of Warcraft.
