One of the best things about having an open beta for Diablo 4 is not only do we get to try out the different classes that this game has to offer, but we also get to do a ton of farming, which means we can really see what type of gear there is in the game. So in today's guide, we go over a few locations, spots, places for farming legendaries in D4 beta.

In Diablo 4 beta, the loot chance for legendary items is increased. So when the full release game launches, you may not be able to get as many legendaries as you can get right now in the beta. So be sure to read this guide and explore the best legendary items farm location in Diablo 4 beta.

Best way to farm legendary & high end gears in D4

- The first method has to do with farming in the open world and focusing on world events that take place throughout the map. Between the Early access beta and the open beta, while these events may take place at the same location on the map, the actual event itself will rotate in regard to what you'll be doing to complete it. So when you're cruising around the open world and you find a world event which will be indicated by that red circle that you noticed at the beginning of this gameplay, if it happens to be an event you can clear quickly, that is a spot you want to farm legendaries over and over again.

- Once you're done with the actual activity, you're going to open up your town portal, go back to town. And at that point, you can get rid of gear you don't want, sell it, you can fix the gear you currently have if it's damaged. And then you're just going to jump back into the portal and go back to that world activity. Within 10 to 15 seconds of being in the town itself, you will be able to go back through that portal and that world event will have started again. At that point, you can farm the spot as many times as you like.

- When you're in the open world, you're going to run into other players and when you get to that location, the event may be in progress, you can join up or vice versa you may start the event and someone else can join you. But always remember once the world event is over and the loot chest drops, you are each getting your own individual reward, it is not a free-for-all. This method definitely still works for farming legendaries. It may take you four or five attempts to get one legendary to drop.

As all of you know by now, because it's an open beta, it means we only have access to certain parts of the game and right now, one of the most efficient ways to farm for legendary seems to be hitting up dungeons. The good thing is these are located all across sanctuary and you can farm them anytime you want in the game regardless of the difficulty that you choose or your current level. And these items do not transfer from the beta to the full version of the game which comes out in June. It's a great opportunity to farm for loots, get a feel for the type of gear you can pick up.

- The dungeon you want to farm for legendaries in open beta is called Mercy's Reach. So pulling up the map. You don't want to complete the whole dungeon because there are more elite mobs in the beginning of the dungeon compared to the end. To min max your time, set the difficulty to the lowest difficulty, so you can kill the mobs quicker. Because increasing the difficulty does not increase the loot drop, it only increases the experience gain in the gold gain. This could be different when the full game does release though.

- So once you enter the dungeon Mercy's Reach, the idea is to kill every elite mob until you get to the door that requires two keys to open. You'll have to kill three Elite mobs in order to get to the second part of the map. If you don't kill the three elite mobs, the second part of the dungeon will be blocked off and you will need to find and kill the three elite mobs in order to continue. When you kill the 3 mobs, there's a chance for a legendary item to drop.

- Then go ahead and continue forward with the dungeon. Once you're at the second part of the dungeon, you'll need to find two keys to open the door to continue. The keys will be at the only two spots you can explore in the second part of the dungeon. When you find the keys, just kill the mobs and delete mobs protecting the key, there's a chance that a legendary item will drop here.

- Once you kill the group of mobs protecting both the keys, exit the dungeon by teleporting home. This run should take about two to three minutes depending on your build.

- Store or sell your loot and then reset the dungeon so you can do the process again. You can reset the dungeon by going into your map and then pressing Q or going to the side and pressing this arrow, and then clicking on reset dungeon.

- Next, it'll give you a warning and just accept it. Head back to the TP and you'll start at the beginning of the dungeon with everything resetted and then you can do the whole process again.

- Now there is a chance you may not get any legendary items per run, but there is also a chance to get three to five legendary items per run. So you will average about one legendary item per run and each run can take about 2 to 3 minutes long depending on your build.

Note: The loot drop is increased in the beta, so legendary items are dropping more frequently. So when the full game releases you may not be getting as many legendary items as in the open beta.
