Skills of Wizard Tal Rasha Meteor Build

Meteor & Comet

We actually have two options that we can go with here, we're going to take Meteor, Comet. Meteor impact adds a cool down forget about that we want to be spamming this, meteor shower we're already getting for free, Thunder crash just removes the delay not a big deal which leaves Comet and star packed, comet will freeze and chill enemies that'll allow us to easily stack our bane of the trapped buff, we'll get to that in a bit and then star pact is technically, the best DPS Rune here, however, it does complicate the rotation substantially, if you're doing faster content, you're better off with Comet and a lot of people even just push with comet in order to not have to fuss so much over maximizing the damage of star pact, what does star pact do, expend all remaining Arcane power, and each point of extra Arcane power that is spent, makes meteor deal more damage, so you're ideally popping star pact once your Arcane power is full, and once you've got all your other buffing synergies up, in this guide, we'll focus on the comet variant, but we'll also discuss star pact.

Storm Armor & Power of the Storm

Next, we'll take Storm Armor, Power of the Storm, we need storm armor to trigger a Halo of Karini, and power of the storm will reduce the Arcane power cost of all skills by three while storm armor is active, Comet costs a lot of Arcane power, we need to be spamming it this will help us spam it.

Familiar & Sparkflint

Next, we're going to take Familiar, Sparkflint, the sparkflint Rune will give us a nice little 10 damage buff, but more importantly, this will be the way that we trigger fire damage for our tal rasha Stacks, next, we'll take magic weapon, deflection, magic weapon gives us another 10 damage buff and with deflection, when we perform an attack, we gain a protective shield for three seconds that absorbs four percent of our life in damage, we're spamming meteor, this is going to be giving us a lot of deflect shield, and that's going to help us maintain our squirts buff, and also stay alive.

Teleport & Calamity

We need teleport for mobility, we're going to have the cooldown reduce thanks to the tal rasha four piece, and we're taking Calamity to trigger our Arcane damage if however you're running Star Pack, you already have Arcane damage covered, so you take safe passage instead for 25 percent less damage.

Black Hole & Absolute Zero

Black hole groups enemies, nice and tight together, this makes them a prime target for, meteor is dropping down on them and absolute zero makes each enemy that you capture within your black hole, increase the damage of your cold spells by three percent for 10 seconds, this turns into an enormous one-two punch, black hole get a huge damage buff if you get a nice sizable group of enemies, and then you bring down, your buffed comets, so at this point we have our four elements covered, Lightning's coming from Storm armor, familiar is bringing the fire damage, comet is cold and teleport is Arcane, if you're running star pact, instead of black hole, you're going to take spectral blade ice blades, that's going to be our ice damage, it's also going to be a means of generating Arcane power quickly, how not by itself, but magic weapon, you'll take the conduit Rune instead, enemies hit by higher attacks restore up to three Arcane power, this will let you refill your Arcane power a lot faster by spamming spectral blade, and if you're playing season 28 and you have access to the altar of Rights, once you eventually unlock the Vigor seal, Critical Hits Grant 5 Arcane power, so you won't even have to spam spectral blade as much to refill your AP.

Diamond Skin & Prism

If you're doing speed content with the cold setup things are dying so fast that you don't even need to use your black hole, you can swap that out for Diamond skin, prism, Diamond skin gives us a nice toughness buff, but prism reduces the cost of all skills by 9 Arcane power while Diamond skin is active, this will really help us maintain constant bombardment of meteors.

As for our passives, we're going to take Elemental exposure, simple and clear Synergy with tall Russia, damaging enemies with one of the elements will give you a five percent damage buff, for five seconds, stacking up to four times for a total of twenty percent more damage, we'll take Galvanizing Ward, as long as, you have not taken damage in the last five seconds, you gain a protective shield that absorbs the next 60 percent of your life in damage, great defensive skil, and helps us maintain our squirts buff, we're gonna take power hungry, you deal 30 additional damage to enemies farther than 30 yards away nice simple damage buff and we'll take astral presence increase your maximum Arcane Power by 20 and Arcane power generation by 2.5 per second, again to help us spam those meteors, if you're running Astral pact instead of power hungry you'd want to take audacity you'd deal 30 additional damage to enemies within 15 yards, why, you're going to be up on their face, because you're slapping them with spectral blade because of that you also want to benefit from that by taking Arcane Dynamo ,when you cast a signature spell you gain a flash of insight after five flashes of insight your next non-signature spell deals 60 and additional damage, and you would actually drop astral presence for that you'd think well, you got more Arcane power with astral presence, your Star Pack deals more damage based on how much Arcane power you have, but Arcane Dynamite was just too good we're gonna get more Arcane power via our Paragon points our other passives are giving us better damage Buffs or a defensive buff that we simply can't give up, if you're feeling too squishy you can sacrifice Elemental exposure for blur, this decreases damage You Take by 17, and if you're having difficulty maintaining your squirts buff in speed content where you're killing enemies quickly, you could instead of blur take dominance, this gives you an absorbed Shield every time you kill an enemy that helps keep us alive and helps the squirts buff remain up.

Playstyle of Wizard Tal Rasha Meteor Build

As for the play style, make sure your storm armor is always up right, before your Elemental rotation comes up on your Convention of elements, make sure you got your full tal rasha Stacks up, if you're using black hole, make sure you pop that right before you go into your Elemental rotation, and then once you're in your element the, then you blast with your meteor, so if you're doing star pact instead of comet, then before your Arcane rotation instead of plopping down a black hole, you're building up your five stacks of Arcane Dynamo with spectral blade.
