Blizzard just announced that Diablo 2 Resurrected Patch 2.5 is now live along with the Terror Zones feature, the next Ladder is confirmed to start on October 6 with Sundering Charms. Diablo 2 Resurrected 2.5 Patch Notes - D2R Ladder Season 2 Start Time & Modes

The successful Ladder Season 1 is drawing to an end, and we are going to enter the next Ladder season. When will Diablo 2 Resurrected Ladder 2 officially begin?

Launch time of D2R Ladder Season 2 (different zones)

- North America: 5:00 p.m. PDT, October 6, 2022

- Europe: 2:00 a.m. CEST, October 6, 2022

- Asia: 9:00 a.m. KST, October 6, 2022

D2R Ladder Season 2 Modes & Versions

1. Pre-Expansion Ladder: The standard version of Ladder play that encompasses playing only with the original four acts.

2. Pre-Expansion Hardcore Ladder: The hardcore (only one life) version of Ladder play that encompasses playing only with the original four acts.

3. Ladder: The standard version of Ladder play encompasses playing five acts, as it includes the “Lord of Destruction” expansion content.

4. Hardcore Ladder: The hardcore (only one life) version of Ladder play that encompasses playing five acts, as it includes the “Lord of Destruction” expansion content.

What happens when D2R Ladder Season 1 ends? All of your Ladder characters created in the first season will be converted into respective non-ladder characters, and all of the Diablo 2 Ladder items in the shared stash go into a new Withdraw Only set of Shared Stash tabs, denoted by a check marked Past box. You can withdraw any items you want to keep in Ladder 2. Then when S2 ends, the withdraw-only set will be overridden with new items in the Ladder 2 Shared Stash.

They have introduced the addition of Terror Zones in D2R 2.5 PTR several days ago, and some changes and improvements have been made for its better implementation in Patch 2.5 and Ladder 2.

How to find Terror Zones in D2R 2.5 Ladder? In order easier locate the current Terror Zone, waypoints received minor adjustments. The waypoint that is closest to the current terror zones will light up in purple font, and an icon will display next to that waypoint.

How to unlock Terror Zones in D2R 2.5 Ladder? Once the D2R Ladder Season 2 starts, for your new character, you need to beat Baal per character and per difficulty. And existing characters that have fulfilled the requirements will automatically unlock that.

Rules

- Terrorized monsters are at least two levels higher than your current level or their original level, up to a maximum per difficulty.

- Received experience and loots determined by new level.

- If the host leaves the game, a new player will be selected once the next Terror Zone is announced.

- Messages will be sent to you through Chat Box to inform you of information about the current terrorized areas.

As they announced in the PTR, six new sunder charms will be added to D2R Ladder Season Two, each grand charm can break a specific monster immunity type.

1. The Black Cleft

Monster Magic Immunity is Sundered

Magic Resist –45% to -65%

2. The Bone Break

Monster Physical Immunity is Sundered

Physical Damage Received Increased by 10% to 30%

3. The Cold Rupture

Monster Cold Immunity is Sundered

Cold Resist –70% to -90%

4. The Crack of the Heavens

Monster Lightning Immunity is Sundered

Lightning Resist –70% to -90%

5. The Flame Rift

Monster Fire Immunity is Sundered

Fire Resist –70% to -90%

How to get Sunder Charms in D2R 2.5 Ladder? Once the Ladder S2 begins on October 6, players can farm Terrorized monsters of Champion, Unique, Superunique, or Boss difficulty to get sundered charms from drops.
