In this guide, we going to cover Kakul-Saydon legion raid phase 1 by breaking down the items to prepare, gimmicks, and patterns of this raid.

Items To Prepare

There are some things to prepare Ark Kakul-Saydon Phase 1:

1. Make a position of times three plus one, this is to resolve one certain gimmick 

2. The battle item: you want the Whirlwind Grenade because there are two types of staggered gimmick


Card & Mayhem Gauge System

The sidereal skill you want to use is Nia bay for more damage. When the raid starts the boss will have a 160 HP bar and you can see the shape of card above each player, these cards will have an important role in some gimmicks

Also, there is a gauge beneath each player, this is called the mayhem gauge and you don't want to fill up this gauge. All the things that happen involved with the gauge system are the same from gate 1 to gate 3.

Whenever you get hit by the boss's attack the gauge gets filled up, when it reaches half then an energy blast will happen after a few seconds in a cross direction from that player. When other players get hit by the shot, then their gauge will be filled up and a puddle will surround the players. Other players who are in the range of this puddle will get their gauge filled up as well. So it's important to go far away from the players when you get the cross. When the gauge reaches max, then that player will turn into a clown for 15 seconds and the boss will get a permanent buff which will reduce the incoming damage by three percent for every transformation, so you should not fill up the gauge. If you already turned into a clown, don't worry, there's still something you can do. The clown can do three kinds of skills:

  • Q skill will throw a ball to the spot, you want to use this skill on the little clown mob that comes out over the time, these small flame throwers in a large range and whenever the players get hit by it, it will burn them and fill up the gauge as well by throwing the ball, you can break the armor of this mob which will make other players easier to kill it

  • W skill will reduce a certain amount of gauge of other players in the range but will increase the gauge for those who are out of the range

  • E skill will drop a gift on the floor that contains an orb if a player who is not a clown grabs it his gauge will be reduced

These are the things you can do as a clown and it's not really needed in gate 1, the best is not turning into a clown.

Now let's go over the major gimmicks:

Stagger (130 - 60 HP Bar)

First around 130 hp and 60 hp bar, the boss creates one or two purple shoes on random side and requires the players to stagger, if you attack from the direction where the shield is, you will receive huge amount of retaliation damage which will most likely kill you, so be sure to use the whirlwind grenade and stagger skills from the direction where there's no shield. For the 60 HP bar one, if some players turned into a clown when the snagger starts the radiator can use a way to instant stagger the boss instead of using linave. If the snagger fails, then that's a wipe.

4 Clones (110 - 30 HP Bar)

Around 110 hp and 30 hp bar, the boss disappears with dark and filled then creates four clones, each on the direction of times three plus one. All the players have to go to the position, they got assigned. Be sure to avoid the orbs moving around because you will get blinded with huge damage. After a few seconds, the clones will show either heart or nothing from their hands and there will be two kinds of situations: 

If it shows three hearts then all the players have to look to the direction where the odd one is

If it shows one heart then you all have to look to that direction since that's the odd one

Players pinging the spot where the heart is will help others know which direction they have to see, looking in the wrong direction will guarantee to kill that player.

Follow the gesture (85 HP Bar)

Around 85 hp bar, all the players turn into a clown and enter a different stage, you will see four kinds of shape in front of the boss and you will have to stand on the identical shape to your card above. Then the boss will make a gesture that looks the same as either one of the gesture on your four QWER keys. ducky is the one you have to press or else you will receive huge damage. He will make gestures 4 times in total, and sometimes he will turn back and make the gesture, in this case, you will have to press any other keys that are not identical to his gesture. The gestures assigned in the keys are random for all the players, so you cannot share info on which key to chris, you will all have to look carefully at the boss and figure it out by yourselves.

Roulette (50 HP Bar)

Around 50 hp bar, the players get dragged into another stage with gigantic rule it, the roulette will spin three times in total, and every time the rule stops, all of you have to find the correct spot with shape and color identical to your card above the character. If you stand on the wrong one, you will receive lots of damage with gauge filled up. For every spin, the card above the players might change, so stay focused until the third spin. After the third spin, the roulette will explode, so quickly escape from it.

Direct the card

This one is a major gimmick that the boss does regularly, you will see this gimmick a lot if the party DPS is low. The boss throws a dice and traps either one or three people, then he will start to fire a card four times in a row that will follow one person. If three people get strapped, the card will follow the person who's not trapped and he has to direct the card to the player who has the identical card. If one person is trapped, the card will follow the person who is trapped and other people have to take their shape cards for him. If the card is directed to the wrong person, the party will take lots of damage. And when there's a person who is still trapped after the gimmick ends there will be an AOE explosion from that person and it will most likely wipe the raid.

To resolve this gimmick easily, all of you want to stand a in horizontal line a in sequence of black, black, red, and red. Because the sequence of the color of the cards that boss fire is always either black black red red or red red black black, so standing in that sequence will be easier to direct the cards.

Pizza pattern - The boss creates pizza filled with four different shapes, players should stay on the side where the shape is identical to their card shape, he can do this twice in a row.

Whirlwind Pattern - The boss starts to whirlwind and fires cards everywhere, be sure to stay away from him.

Random Box - The boss drops a box on the ground, the box will show either any shapes that the players have or a bomb. If it's a bomb, it's going to explode and fill up a lot of mayhem gauge who got hit by it, if it's a shape, then the player with the same shape will have a chance to reduce the gauge when he grabs it, if a player with the wrong shape grabs it, then it will fill up lots of gauge instead.

Rainbow - The boss creates rainbow lines in either horizontal or vertical way.

Flame Thrower - The boss does AOE flame attack that burns you for a short time.

Chasing AOE Attacks - The boss does AOE attack that chases a random player, you can dodge it when the focus is locked.

Hitting forward - The boss dashes forward hitting all the players on the way, he can do this more than one time after teleporting

Mob summon - The boss summons a lot of balls, you will have to kill them all as soon as possible since they will generate a puddle around them that fills up the gauge when you are in the range.

Cross & jump - The boss shows a ball from the hand, if it's yellow then he will do cross attack, if it's red he will do x attack, after that he will jump to the ground that generates AOE attack, dodge the cross and x attack and come in where the boss is right after the jump to dodge the aoe attack.

Teleport & birds - The boss teleports and fires birds that are artificial intelligent, if you get hit by them, then you'll get stunned

Laser - The boss shoots laser in the front which fears the players who got hit

Dash - The boss tries to dash forward this attack is able to counter

Riding on the ball - The boss rides on the ball which is able to counter failing the counter will do lots of damage on the player

Bombardment - The boss bombers area in an AOE range

Splitting balls - The boss throws a large ball that starts to split into smaller balls make sure to be far out of the way since the balls bounce in random direction

Hide & explode - The boss hides in the ground and throws a ball that explodes
