Here is a Lost Ark beginner guide by Two Moons on Lance Master (Glaivier) class that is new for NA/EU players, so the main points include the preparation before its release, build tips with recommended Lance Master engravings, best card set and more. 

1. Create your character now to accumulate rest bonus

First of all, make sure you create your character ahead of time with your wanted appearance and settings, they can accumulate some rest bonus for Chaos Dungeons and Guardian Raids so that you could boost it up even faster on release.

2. Save tier 2 and tier 3 gems for your Lance Master

If you do boss rush on all your characters, you're going to end up with a lot of these gems and then you could combine them all when the Glaivier class comes out, so you get those class-specific gems and high-level gems that are worth a lot. If you are not in a rush to gear up your graveyard, you could sell them for a lot of Lost Ark gold. 

3. Start gathering the collectibles 

The more skill points, the higher damage you’ll be doing on your Lance Master character, so check out what skill point potions you are missing and these will go into each character that you have. The roster level also helps a lot, there are some bonuses to the level. There are card sets you can use for every single character, the recommended Lost Ark card set of Glaivier is the Lostwind Cliff set, which gives the chances of 7% at 12 Awakening, this would be a budget set to use. Then the endgame card set for Lance Masters would be the Light of Salvation set, which gives the holy damage in the beginning when you don’t have those sets, HP would be fine. 

4. Complete island quests

There's Anguished Island which will award you a Crimson Skein and a key to do this quest, you have to gather these books and kill these monsters, and then you go back to the NPC over there. For the island tokens and rewards, you could actually get some t2 gems and t3 gems, these are only viable once per roster, but if you go over here, there are leapstones that you could buy on the character that you bring to the certain roster level.

5. Free class engraving books from quests

There are free class engraving books that you can get from doing certain quests, one of the most important quests in Memories of Luterra is going to start a question that gives you a whole bunch of books that you will want.  

6. Lance Master build tips and best engravings

There are a ton of different ways to build this class, this is one of the cheapest and easiest  Lance Master builds. The recommendation is up to 1445, do Spec/speed zenith engraving with the necklace having specs/swift, and the rest of the accessories having spec. So the Swift is only coming from the necklace. We can use a tripod that guarantees your attack will crit in focus stance, with this we don’t have to worry about crit, and focus all of our points in spec and swift instead. This build can do damage from anywhere, with crit tripod you won’t have to chase monsters for the extra crit rate, you will need to use movement skills as DPS, so you have a harder time, there is way more fluid to change skills together, even if you don't have a good understanding of the skills. Lastly, since Glaivier class engraving accessories will probably be super expensive, you can run two plus nine class engravings with the books, the best engravings to use for Lance Master class would be Zenith, Grudge, Keen Blunt, and then you have a choice between Cursed Doll or Raid Captain.
