Diablo 4 Best Abattoir of Zir Tier Builds

Diablo 4 Abttoir of Zir Tier List - Best Class & Builds for AoZ Event

The Abattoir of Zir is an event in Diablo 4 that offers a highly challenging end-game experience for seasoned players. It is a seasonal event that provides a six-week-long gameplay opportunity for players who have reached Level 100, defeated Uber Duriel, and conquered all other challenges in the Season of Blood. So which builds will be meta in the Abattoir of Zir event? The pro-D4 player - wudijo tested the event during BlizzCon 2023 and shared his thoughts on the meta build for the event. Wudijo expressed concern that the event is extremely difficult and may be balanced around overpowered meta builds such as Ball Lightning Sorcs and HoTA Barbs. He believes that this sets a dangerous precedent and may make it difficult for Tier B and C builds to progress in the event. He also mentions the importance of improving obviously weak builds like Incinerate Sorc through new aspects or balance updates. With that being said, let’s take a look at the potential of each class and the best builds they can use for Abattoir of Zir.

1. Barbarian - HotA Build

With extreme toughness from high armor, resistances, and damage reduction, strong crowd control skills to lock down mobs, mobility from Leap and Charge to avoid attacks, high sustain through healing and lifesteel, versatile damage options for both AoE and single targets, and powerful class sets that provide major boosts, the Barbarian has tremendous potential in the Abattoir of Zir dungeon as their durable builds and flexible skills can be specialized to withstand devastating blows from hordes of enemies while dishing out high damage in return.

The Hammer of the Ancients Barbarian build guide on Wowhead focuses on unleashing the powerful Hammer of the Ancients skill augmented by multiple stacked Shout abilities to enable a highly offensive playstyle capable of one-shotting most enemies, but one requiring very specific D4 items, skills, and passives to properly maximize the potential damage output, as any deviations from the optimized setup can quickly result in severely reduced performance.

2. Druid - Stormclaw Build

With the ability to shapeshift into tanky Bear, speedy Werewolf, and ranged Storm Crow forms augmented by disposable summons for distraction, ample crowd control through skills like tornadoes and vines to manage mobs, high mobility for repositioning afforded by werewolf and teleport abilities, solid AoE damage options to counter hordes, strong sustain from life leech and potions countering heavy incoming damage, and impactful class sets providing major boosts, the versatile Druid has tremendous potential in the lethal Abattoir of Zir dungeon, where they can tailor their varied toolkit for both survivability and damage to overcome the intense challenges.

The Stormclaw Druid build provides extremely high tankiness through its multiple layers of damage reduction from abilities like Cyclone Armor and Hurricane combined with heavy investment into armor, making it capable of easily withstanding deadly attacks even at high Nightmare Dungeon tiers; solid healing and sustain come from Blood Howl, Undying, and other sources to counter high incoming damage; strong but simple offensive power is achieved by simultaneously unleashing Claw and Storm Strike with the Greatstaff of the Crone, avoiding resource constraints; and good crowd control options from Petrify, Cyclone Armor knockbacks, and Hurricane slows to allow the Druid to manage dangerous combat situations.

3. Sorceress - Ball Lightning Build

With immense burst damage potential through skills like Ball Lightning and Meteor, strong crowd control and mobility via Teleport, decent survival tools in Energy Shield and Ice Armor, flexible build options to counter monster abilities, and powerful class sets and legendaries that enable advanced setups, the Sorcerer has tremendous potential in the Abattoir of Zir dungeon, as their versatile kits and spell synergies can be specialized to swiftly eliminate hordes of elite enemies while avoiding attacks using a balance of high offense and defense.

The Ball Lightning Sorcerer is an ideal build for tackling the intense Abattoir of Zir dungeon thanks to its explosive damage output enhanced by recent buffs, solid crowd control effects to manage large packs, high mobility from Teleport for avoiding attacks, sufficient survival tools like Barrier and damage reduction to withstand devastating blows, and ample resource generation from uniques like Tibault's Will to fund the mana-hungry Ball Lightning spam needed against hordes of high health enemies.

4. Rogue - Poison Twisting Blades Rogue

With abilities providing high mobility to swiftly maneuver through the dungeon's tight spaces, strong single target skills to quickly defeat elite monsters and bosses, ample AOE damage options to clear hordes of normal enemies, reliable crowd control effects to lock down threatening foes, versatile build diversity enabling adaptation to any danger, powerful class sets to further augment key skills, and agile evasion tools for dodging otherwise fatal attacks, the Rogue's specialized damage, crowd control, speed, and flexibility make the class uniquely well-equipped to take on the intense challenges expected within the Abattoir of Zir dungeons.

While the Poison Twisting Blades Rogue build provides strong poison damage over time and crowd control tools that can manage elite monsters and bosses, its lack of burst AoE damage, one-dimensional specialization into DoT skills, inferior mobility, and vulnerability make it less capable of handling the wide array of deadly threats expected within the intense Abattoir of Zir dungeons compared to more versatile Rogue builds that offer adaptability along with speed and survivability.

5. Necromancer - Bone Spear Build

With ranged damage skills like Bone Spear permitting engagement from afar, ample crowd control through curses and explosions to manage mobs, high survivability from Bone Armor and Essence healing, disposable minion tanks to absorb damage, versatile build options like Bones of Spear or Shadow's Flames to counter monsters, and strong class sets boosting key abilities, the Necromancer has tremendous potential in the lethal Abattoir of Zir dungeon as their safe playstyle and varied skills can be tailored to eliminate enemies from a distance while avoiding damage.

With its excellent single target damage to quickly defeat bosses, area damage capabilities to clear hordes, safe range engagement, crowd control through Decrepify and Bone Armor, cooldown reduction scaling allowing sustained damage against high health enemies, and good survivability from its namesake Bone Armor and minion summons, the Bone Spear Necromancer build is well-suited for the challenges of the intense Abattoir of Zir dungeons where its abilities can be leveraged to safely eliminate lethal enemies from a distance while controlling the battlefield.
