D2R 2.6 Changes & Patch Notes, Ladder Season 3 New Items & Content | Diablo 2 Resurrected 2.6 Wishlist
1/15/2023 3:42:05 PM

What kind of new content we can expect to see in the upcoming Ladder Season 3 of Diablo II Resurrected? Here let's take a prediction and wishlist for the D2R 2.6 Changes.

D2R 2.6 Changes & Patch Notes - Season 3 Wishlist

D2R 2.6 Changes & Patch Notes Prediction - Diablo 2 Resurrected Ladder Season 3 New Content Wishlist

Finally, the Ladder Season 3 of Diablo 2 Resurrected was confirmed in the mid-February, but unfortunately, we don't have any more insider info about the D2R 2.6 ladder reset, either Blizzard hasn't announced the date yet nor have they said anything about the new content or changes. But here we will tell you which changes we would celebrate.

1 - Terror Zones

The terror zones are a super cool feature that definitely motivates you to level a character to 99 again and you also have more variety. However they could maybe improve several zones, the less popular Terror zones could be upgraded with a higher monster density or be connected to other Terror zones. Stonyfield and Chris drum could be combined or the underground passage could be added to the dark wood. In zones like Burial Grounds or the Sewers of Crust, more Monsters and more Elite groups could attract players.

2 - New Season 3 Items

The Sunder Charms have been very refreshing at the start of the second season, but there is still little use for the magic and physical ones. There are D2R ladder items missing to lower the resistances even further like it is possible with so far elements, also there are still no playable items with magic resistance. New D2R unique items and Runewords could be added, those that came with the first season were already a really good start but there is still room for more.

3 - New Maps

With a simple principle, Blizzard could add new levels to the game without needing a new act or a change of existing levels. Some of you may be noted from the mod project Diablo 2, which briefly explained monsters in certain areas could be Terror zones, for example, gets a chance to drop a map, the chance should be quite low like with high runes. This map looks like a scroll and you can use it in Harrogate, a red portal will open just like in the Uber Tristram event behind, this portal you will find a new area in Project Diablo 2. These areas were huge and had a very high monster density, the enemies were also extremely tough so you sometimes easily needed more than an hour for a map and at the end, there always was a special boss. All the maps were made from the existing graphical elements of Diablo 2 and every season there were new creations, the maps also could be found in different priorities just like other items, a white map just opened up the level a blue or even yellow map could have random affixes that increased magic find or additional experience. If something like that would also come for Diablo 2 Resurrected, we would totally celebrate it. They could also insert small storylines then which could be completely independent of the main story.

4 - Crossplay on All Platforms

It should finally be possible to play cross-platform with each other which would be absolutely fantastic, finally play with friends who are only on the console and the console players will also have direct access to the PC Marketplace for trading.

5 - More In-Game Events

The 22 Nights of Terror were a cool idea but mods like more damage to Undead were pretty trivial and 24 hours of cow level as a terror Zone even annoyed many players. Weekend events with some XP or magic find would certainly motivate many players though.

6 - Stackable Runes & Gems

Project Diablo has already demonstrated how to realize that too, such a feature would probably go down well with all players. Our guess is why this doesn't exist yet such a mechanism would maybe offer new possibilities for duping methods but this is pure speculation on our part.

7 - Grief

It would be really nice if the actual damage done by characters with that D2R runeword would be shown in the character stats that can't be so difficult at all.

Grief

5-Eth28-Lo23-Mal8-Ral3-Tir
35% Chance To Cast Level 15 Venom On Striking
+30-40% Increased Attack Speed (varies)
Damage +340-400 (varies)
Ignore Target's Defense
-25% Target Defense
+(1.875 per character level) 1.875-185.625% Damage To Demons (Based on Character Level)
Adds 5-30 Fire Damage
-20-25% To Enemy Poison Resistance (varies)
20% Deadly Strike
Prevent Monster Heal
+2 To Mana After Each Kill
+10-15 Life After Each Kill (varies)

These are the ideas for improvements within the Diablo 2 Resurrected 2.6 Ladder Season 3.
