Hit level 99 with Sorceress on Diablo 2 Resurrected Nintendo switch has been such a grind. People have been finding the best fastest way to reach lvl 99 all the time. Put enough strength to wear the boots which is 91, and everything else into energy, resistances are not the best but you don't need resist for these, the only important resist is poison.

Advanced Stats:

+10% to experience gained

+8 to light radius

+158% faster run/walk

+37% faster hit recovery

+105% faster cast rate

Poison length reduced by 25%

30% magic find, this isn't a high magic find character setup, it's mostly for clear speed and leveling. 158 faster run/walk, and that's because the faster buff is 100% faster run walk. For the Knights of Terror, 37 faster hit recovery, so hit that 30 break point and then 105 which is the break point for Nova.

2 points into frozen armor, max out energy Shield, 1 point into teleport, max out telekinesis, max out static field, max out Nova, 1 point into thunderstorm and then max out lightning mastery for the fire skills. 1 point into warmth and 1 point into fire mastery to boost damage on the hydras. So level 30 Hydra is from the torch and then some extra fire damage.

D2R 99 Leveling Method on Switch

This is the method for trying to fill games shared by Smalps Gaming:

Host cow games, so fast-cows-9. The good thing about this is when you host the cow game, so he makes the portal as fast as he can and then go out and do the terror zone on his own. The terror zone right now is Tal Rasha’s Tombs, so it's a very good terror zone, so this is a way to fill up your game. The terror zone will be 96 because he’s level 98. A lot of the times when we are searching for games we can't find people with a high enough level to have the highest terror zone game, so it's tough joining games, so you really need to host. So the method has been hosting games, making the cow portal and then leaving the area and doing the terror zone. So you will see a couple people have joined the game, these are people that have been in the games for a while now. So make this portal as quick as you can and then the portal is up for those players to have at it and then go to the Tal Rasha’s Tombs. Smalps Gaming only getting experience at level 96 terror zones, so this has been his method for leveling in these later levels.

He started doing this like midway through 98, he was able to just do terror zones, when they were good, just do a bunch of bail runs, host some cows things like that. When the terror zone is not great, run the terror zone by yourself, if you go to free roam games, somebody else that made the game is already doing the terror zone and again trying to join those games, they're not high enough level to make the terror zone 96. So this has been the method for the end game. Because of this method, everybody else is running cows and it takes them about 5 minutes. Everybody else is running cows, so basically running the terror zones by yourself no matter what the other terror zone is. This is what Smalps Gaming does if there is not a great terror zone, so this terror zone is going to end in about 5 minutes.

It's only been on switch and he started this character before patch 2.5, so there was no terror zones the entire way. So it has been a very long grind for this Sorceress character, so this is going to be quite the feat here to hit 99. Overall, terror zones impact on reaching level 99 Diablo 2 Resurrected.

How Hard it Was to Level on Switch Without Terror Zones?

That took over a year of leveling this character because when Smalps Gaming started D2R, there was no ladder, he leveled up the character classic way all the way up to 95 or 96 with no terror zones, so it was a long grind and again this is Nintendo switch where it is all limited by players 4. So it's much harder to level on switch. And then terra zones came in or he skipped the first ladder season because he had just hit level 96 or 95 and he didn't feel like starting over another ladder, he just wanted to do some Ubers and all that stuff that you do at high level with your character. So he played non-ladder and then when the next ladder season started - ladder season 2, that was when terra zones came in and then that was when he was able to level from 96 to 97 to 98, and then from 98 to 99 with terror zones during the ladder 2 seasons. So this is a non-ladder character, he has been playing this character for a long time. So we should really get D2R terror zones for level 99 faster.

Hours Played on Switch

Smalps Gaming has been playing Diablo 2 Resurrected that 1 character for 1800 hours. And he only has 1 level 99 character, the elite character is Assassin level 90, so not a whole lot maybe like 3 weeks into that character, so basically all of his time has gone into that Sorceress.
