9/26/2022 3:11:25 PM

In this Elden Ring guide, we're going to be going over the top 10 best Arcane weapons for both PvE and PvP!

ELDEN RING 1.06 BEST ARCANE WEAPONS

Elden Ring Arcane Weapon Tier List - Top 10 Best Arcane Weapons for Both PvE & PvP in Elden Ring

Weapons need to have an inherent Arcane scaling or we are going to include weapons that have inherent blood loss put up as well because obviously, they pair nicely with the cult infusions which the scale of Arcane, so it just makes sense to this include bleed weapons onto an Arcane list. And it is going to be based around PVE and PVP, so we're going to take both into account.

Top 10 - Scavenger's Curved Sword

Scavenger's Curved Sword is still a decent curved sword with a great moveset and pairing this with an occult infusion will make the blood loss split up. All in all, it is a great arcane weapon, definitely a power stance. If you do manage to Palestine's cursors due to how good the moveset is and how quickly you can build that blood loss up, it's a very solid pick.

Top 9 -  Grave Scythe

Grave Scythe is personally one of the favorite weapons of the game for many players. With synthesis in general, they do get a solid moveset, good damage, nice range, good stagger damage, as well as having the ability to hit a round Shields. With the gray side, in particular, it does get a nice heavy attack which is the horizontal swipe. Also this weapon can be infused so pairing it with an occult infusion is just an obvious option being that it does get inherent blood loss build-up, with the options you do get for Ashes of War, they are really good. Probably the major downsides are not major, but the only downside to this weapon we would consider would be how stance moveset offsides, so in PvP, there are probably better options to use if you do want to run an Arcane build. But all in all, Grave Scythe is a very good option.

Top 8 - Morgott's Cursed Sword

Morgott's Cursed Sword is probably a bit more of a PVP option due to how expensive the Ash of War is, but the weapon itself is a curved grade sword so it's going to have a nice moveset, good range, good damage, and it just got recently buffed to the whole category that the attack speed is a little bit quicker now which is noticeable. But the main selling point of the weapon is the actual which is cursed blood slice which does this nice lunging attack that has a follow-up Spin Attack that does a nice amount of damage to stagger's enemies as well, and it does a lot of bloodless put up. However, the major downside is that the entire combo does consume 40 FP, so spamming it is not the greatest option, so that is not going to be that amazing in PVE although, it still is going to be more of a PVP option.

Top 7 - Bloody Helice

Bloody Helice is one of the best weapons in Elden Ring, it is a heavy thrusting sword so this moveset is going to be Supreme, and also gets really good range, good damage, and relatively quick ends. The heavy running attacks of the heavy thrusting swords are Supreme, one of the best attacks in the game. In PVE and PVP, we are more of a PVP pick though. With PvE, obviously, you're going to have that blood as well so it's going to be really good for damage. Overall ends with the Ash of War Dynast's Finesse, it does have a nice Dodge which only consumes five FP and you have a follow-up lunging attack that does decent damage and consumes only seven, so the entire combo only consumes 12 FP. Pairing this alongside the Spirit Talisman is just an obvious option as well, being that you're just doing a whole bunch of damage for free. So Bloody Helice is one of the best options in the game.

Top 6 - Mohgywn's Sacred Spear

Mohgywn's Sacred Spear is a very highly damaging weapon with a lot of range and a decent moveset. It's a great space, so it makes sense that it is a bunch of pokes but with those pokes come counterattacks and obviously, this is free damage which only makes the weapon a lot better, With the actual bloodboon ritual, it is very high damaging, and does cause blood loss but up very quick. The only downside is that it does consume a lot of FP, if you do the entire combo which is like a three-hit combo with the Azure War, it does consume 60FP in total which is very high. However, the amount of damage that you can deal with it is worth it, does melt bosses very quickly. In PvP, it is going to be hard being that enemies can dodge it easily, due to how telegraphed it is, but in PVE there's a very solid option hence why it gets to number six on the list.

Top 5 - Regalia of Eochaid / Marias Executioner's Sword

At number five, we have two weapons: Regalia of Eochaid and Marias Executioner's Sword, put them together because they have the same Ash of War, so they both play out the same way. Marias Executioner's Sword is going to do more damage because it is a great sword and has more range. Due to it being a straight sword, Regalia of Eochaid has a better moveset and power sensing. Although you can get one per play through, and with these weapons they are Arcane weapons but they don't get a status effect which is not the greatest thing, but their Ash of War does so much damage. When you pair it with some like Millicent's Prosthesis, Rotten Winged Sword Insignia, and the Shard of Alexander, it will just make the ash of war just do so much damage, it'll like one shot a whole bunch of bosses even like one shot in PvP in most cases as well.

Top 4 - River's of Blood

This katana weapon gets good range, good damage, good moveset, especially power stance as well. And the actual one that does get is corpse pilot which double slash but just with a lot more range. With that extended range, it will have a little bit of damage fall off and not do as much. Blood loss put up but it is just more range that you will have, so you can be at a safe distance, then spam this and just get pretty much free blood loss put up as well as doing free damage on top of that. With the ash of war, it is still relatively cheap 17 FP for its initial cost and every other input afterward is going to cost 9 FP, so it's cheap and does high damage. It has been nerfed hence why it's not going to be number one. The Nerf did decrease the amount of damage that the ash of war does do unless you hit with the weapon itself, but in that case, you can actually use any other Katana with double slash and you just have a very similar effect, so it's just dropped as usefulness over time but it is very good in both PvE and PvP.

Top 3 - Nagakiba

Nagakiba is another Katana so what this means is it's going to have a very solid move set, a very quick moveset, as well as very nice damage, obviously, that inherent blood loss build up as well as having a good power stance move set. However just with this weapon, in particular, it just has absolute enormous amount of range that's cracked for whatever reason, it is pretty much just the washing pole of this game essentially. The reason we have Nagakiba over River's of Blood is that if you just put double slash on the Nagakiba with an Occult Fusion, it works the same way and probably even better than River's of Blood, being that we'll just do more damage as well. It is considered to be one of the best options in the game in both PvE and PVP.

Top 2 - Eleonora's Poleblade

Eleonora's Poleblade is a really good weapon mainly because of his ash of war, but it is a twin blade so the moveset is going to be decent, especially the power stance is going to be nice. Especially with the blade build being that the fact that it has hit multiple times with this jumping attack, it makes a nice combination there but the ash of war is going to be the main selling point with blood blade dance. It just covers so much range, staggers enemies nicely, does an enormous amount of posture damage, the enormous amount of regular damage on top of that and it does all that blood loss build up. The entire combo costs 17 FP, the first part costing 11 and the second part costing 6 FP which is just really insane as to how cheap it is for how much damage it does do. So it is the absolute ideal option for PvE. In PVP, it does have some like hit detection issues, but if you do hit with the entire combo you will be like doing a lot of damage and pairing it with like another Twin Blade to just do those power sensing jumping attacks it's probably going to be the best option. All in all, Nagakiba is a little bit better in PvP, but this weapon is still going to be the number two slot here.

Top 1 - Cross-Naginata

This weapon does have a caveat very similar to The Scavenger's Curve Sword and it has to be power sense for it to pay this high with Elden Ring runes. The weapon by itself was probably around number five, but due to how cracked the power stance moveset is of the space alongside a blade build, it just makes it number 1 in PVE and PVP and it's not even close. But the weapon itself cross Nagakiba is a very nice speed weapon does have a very unique moveset that gets a lot of variety which we value a lot - nice range, good damage, does have inherent blood loss build up, gets nice actual pairings like sword dance. The main selling point is going to be its power sense encumber. You only get one cross nugget out per play through, so you have to go to Cross-Naginata plus if you want to get to. However you can just get another spear which is the spike speed which you can just put on the off-end and just use either another option, or you can just use any other spear really and just make it completed like have it blood infused put sepico on it. And you're just going to have an absolute field day with a lot of enemies, being that you are going to do so much blood loss build up that like in one hit, looks like an instant double poke what is instantly bleed out enemies, in both PVE and PVP which is actually insane.
