8/8/2022 2:41:37 PM

When NBA 2k doesn't drop any news a month before the game comes out and all they're showing is screenshots, to show you some NBA 2K23 screenshot comparisons, all of these are from Jumpman germ, so these screenshots, he's already done it, so clutch right there.

NBA 2K23

NBA 2K23 Latest News - 7 Screenshot Make NBA 2K23 Difference

NBA 2K23 Screenshot 1 - Jordan Poole

image

The first one is Jordan Poole, but to kind of compare with Jordan pool here, it's kind of hard to tell anything, there are a couple of things, the first one is skin tone, everything seems a little bit darker on NBA 2k23 and the lighting seems a little more highlighted, now it could just be the sweat, but it does look like the shoulder and the forehead shines brighter than the usual kind of similar to how 2k 21 was doing it, so it does look like there are some big changes here,  they also have the celebration and the tongue thing that 2k 22 didn't have, but in terms of face scan and hair, you know the more, it might just be the exact same one, but it looks good.

NBA 2K23 Screenshot 2 - Giannis

image

The next one is Giannis anta de cumpo here is another one that sees very little change again, the biggest thing is the lighting and like the little shining coming off of his shoulders, and the forehead they really seem to have focused a lot on the lighting there for this brand new game, and it looks realistic also the skin tone seems a little bit darker,  but in terms of the face again, in terms of the hair how he's even making the exact same face left to right, this is actually pretty identical, any change here to even bring up, showing you this picture, but it's been done.

NBA 2K23 Screenshot 3 - Lonzo Ball

image

The next one is Lonzo ball, this one was a pretty big debate for a lot of people because a lot of people try to claim that this is worse, the shape of the eyes, the lighting in the eyes, there's darkness in people's eyes, and so does Lonzo ball, but in real life like in an NBA court where there are lights shining literally all around you,  you're not gonna see it as defined as you see it on the left, Lonzo lifeless on the right, his face looks like it's an actual human being, also the beard seems a lot more updated also the hand tattoo has been added.

Not only the face scan, the skin tone, the lighting, but also the tattoos also look much updated and very impressive every single year, they can make the graphics better, and they prove every single year really impressed with the shadow thing, a lot of you think that's maybe a small thing, but they look like it's the one area of the game, it's always a little off on their faces the eyes, and they finally actually got it right, it's like the final infinity stone on Thanos all that's left is the body scans, it's still terrible, but for the most part, this is great.

NBA 2K23 Screenshot 4 - Luca Doncic

image

The next one is Luca Doncic, to keep it absolutely real with you, he looks a little more red on the face which talks about with the WNBA like white people have redness on their face right, they're not just one skin tone right, so they have a lot of redness, they've added that to look at don't just to make him look even more realistic right, the even bigger thing is two things the lighting on the jersey makes it seem more realistic, so that's pretty good, and then the stance how Lucas is dribbling is a lot more realistic to how Luca Doncic, actually dribbles in real life compared on the left now that could be a coincidence maybe they actually did add Luka and specific animations, to wait and see this is a real big plus step up for 2k.

NBA 2K23 Screenshot 5 - Lebron James

image

This next one is Lebron James, but to cover it again with actual comparison, again they made Lebron thick like way thicker, they actually made his body bigger, the face is wider and the bone structure on the cheek area is what we want to find it's and the beard is actually a lot more realistic, so there are little changes, but these little changes have made up a giant change and then the lighting's good on LeBron, the skin tone is correct, the eyes you can tell just look more with life it's all these little things that have been added that just really really defines, this next generation and kind of final form stuff in terms of graphics.

Really changing face scans and focusing more on the body types would be a massive w, but the last thing is the jersey, the colour purple is way more realistic to the lakers purple than it is on the left and that's awesome to see little things, but still it makes up a difference.

NBA 2K23 Screenshot 6 - Jalen Brown

image

The next one is Jalen Brown, now this one's gonna be a little bit difficult because you know how far away it is, but first, the lighting is massive that might be because he's really sweating here, but the lighting looks night and day here, like completely different, they also have the brand new hair fragile brown the cornrows, so little things here, but those little things already from a distance looks so much better that it's not even really a debate, it's weird, the graphics were that much different on the trailer, but now that compare them, it might be the lighting, always do this every single year, but it really looks improved here and the other thing is Jason Tatum's back tattoo on the neck and on the shoulders have been added as well.

A little thing like this is making this seem just so much more realistic, the lighting is actually a w, they really did a good job this year look at that Tyler hero's face cam, by the way, is the exact same and it wasn't good in the first place, so it's not that's not a W.

NBA 2K23 Screenshot 7 - Steph Curry

image

The final one is Steph Curry, two things to mention about Steph Curry first is that they actually did update his hair, they didn't update his hair at all, they definitely changed it the hair is longer, and they made his hair colour a lot more, a little like a little redder like how he has it in real life, so that's been updated the skin tone is old skin is a little more red, now on the face which is a lot more realistic and a little side thing is the bone structure, the muscle structure on his arm is way more defined, so maybe they did update bodies at least a little bit, but you can see they're a pretty damn good job from NBA 2k, you can also see the headband with the hair looks a lot better on clay Thompson here than it does on NBA 2k22, it looks terrible on NBA 2k22 a bunch of little things again.

It does look pretty damn good from here, NBA 2k is getting to that final form of graphics, the last thing like that last thing is going to be body types, but for the most part, the graphics can be good every single year, it's not why we buy 2k anymore, even though it's impressive buy 2k, because of the gameplay and it's the gameplay going to get better that has to wait and see, but in terms of graphics, they did a damn good job this year.
