Even though we have massive updates and speculations on the start date of Diablo 2 Resurrected Ladder, the official announcement has not come yet. After one delay after another, the exact date of Ladder finally arrives. The Community Manager explained some issues on production led to the adjustment in dates, they will be doing another maintenance for D2R to implement these changes to production on March 29, also provides updates on the new release of Patch 2.4 and the start of the first Ladder season.

According to the latest official update, D2R 2.4 is currently planned for an April 14 release and Ladder will follow two weeks later on April 28. The gap between the launch of 2.4 and the Ladder is to give the team time to react to any further unforeseen issues on PC and consoles. We can expect more community events and plans for the Ladder launch in the coming weeks.

- April 14, 2022: Patch 2.4 release.

The YouTuber D2R Ninja Resurrected shares his thoughts about the timeline for the upcoming D2R Patch 2.4 and first Ladder season based on the latest leaks, and how to prepare for the new Ladder, primarily involves using a Barbarian as a walking Call to Arms at the early stage.

There are more important details hidden in the PTR 2.4 overview thread by Blizzard’s Community Manager PezRadar on February 25. The PTR was online in the first week of March, there are three important things to test, season rolls, Uber Diablo changes, and some balance adjustment. After the PTR, it will take a couple of weeks to address any feedback and issues before Patch 2.4 goes online. Then one to two weeks later after D2R 2.4, the first Ladder season will kick off.

According to the plan and timeline of Blizzard, the best scenario is the Diablo 2 Resurrected Ladder start date would be in the first week of April.

- February 28, 2022: Blizzard announced that Diablo 2 Resurrected Patch 2.4 PTR would go live on March 2.

- March 2, 2022: D2R Patch 2.4 went live, it focuses on Ladder functionality, Uber Diablo updates, additional balance changes, and bug fixes.

- March 8, 2022: They announced that the PTR will be ending on March 9 at 10 AM PST.

How to Prepare for Diablo 2 Resurrected First Ladder Season
