In this D2R build guide, we are going to break down one of the most confusing builds in Diablo 2 Resurrected - Zeal Passion Melee Sorceress. With this build, you can hit Diablo, pulse AOE take out monsters in the pits, you have arguably slow clear speed in the Chaos Sanctuary but you can take out Baal no problem. So here we are diving into a 62,000 damage zeal passion melee sorceress build.

With this build spec, go with a max block approach so, that just means enough points in the dexterity to reach 75 block rate, enough strength to equip gear, and then everything else in vitality. Max block is the appropriate choice for this build just add a little bit of extra survivability.

Put 20 points into enchant, fire mastery, and warmth, so warmth is just a damaged synergy to enchant and then fire mastery boosting chant damage as well. Put 20 points into lighting mastery, then 1 into the static field, 1 into the teleport, and 1 of the telekinesis, and then all remaining points put into frozen armor. You could go shiver armor for extra defense and could alternatively put extra points in a static field if you just wanted a ridiculous radius. But we really feel like one point with all the plus skills having 17 a radius of 14 yards, it was completely fine for this setup.

Equipment Tips

  • The whole build centers around this cheap rumor because it grants you plus one to zeal, so you want to make sure you have enough plus skills to get a level four zeal because that's five hits. 

  • Using dual dream for the helmet and shield, so Dream runeword in a Bone Visage and Monarch. The reason is that you're stacking the level 15 and the level 15 or together to make it level 30, and then you're boosting that overall level 30 damage output with lightning mastery. 

  • Using dual Immortal King's set, the gloves give me 20 strength and 20 dexterity, so that goes towards the gear equipment requirements as well as the max block and then the two piece gives 25% increased attack speed, then 15% IAS from the jewel at 65% that's the max is break point. You do also get a lot of fast run, plus life, a little bit of magic find, this is a really nice combo.

  • The Bul-Kathos' Wedding Band is optional, you could go Dwarf Star if you want to fire absorb whisk projector.

  • Have a Hellfire Torch and many different assorted charms pulsing life and mana. With GG charms in inventory to bring your character up to 2K life.

Using an ACT 2 nightmare offensive mercenary with Fortitude and Andariel's Visage with the Infinity, kind of your standard elemental damage dealing mercenary combo, he has six and a half thousand damage and then hit him with enchant jumps up to eight thousand, and then it jumps up to ten and a half thousand with a mite or so a very very powerful mercenary to complement.
