Turkulon, the giant turkey boss, is back in New World for Thanksgiving. Known as one of the game's biggest and most popular seasonal events, players will have the opportunity to take on the mighty Turkulon and earn some coveted rewards. The New World Turkulon event 2023 allows players to participate in a limited-time Thanksgiving celebration where the giant boss turkey, Turkulon, will spawn periodically across certain territories from November During this New World Turkey Thanksgiving 2023, hunting down and defeating Turkulon either solo or in a group will grant unique event rewards including transmog skins, trophies, and consumables. Players can also skin regular turkeys found around Aeternum for materials and a chance to obtain Turkulon's Claw, unlocking further consumable crafting. New World Turkey Event Release Date

The 2023 Turkey Terror event is scheduled to run from November 15th through November 28th. Turkulon will spawn periodically throughout these two weeks.

New World Turkulon Spawn Locations

Turkulon can spawn in specific locations within the territories of Everfall, Brightwood, Mourningdale, Restless Shore, Windsward, Monarch's Bluffs and Cutlass Keys. Using the interactive map on NWDB, players can view all possible spawn points for Turkulon.

New World Turkey Event Loots

Players have a chance to earn unique items and skins by defeating Turkulon such as the Grand Gobbler War Hammer skin. Regular turkeys also drop rewards like Diamond Gypsum and turkey meat. The Turkulon drops include the Massive Turkey Leg, Feat-O-Plenty Trophy and Turkuless Pet. Most items have daily or weekly limits.

New World Turkulon Drop Rates

Regular Turkey Loot

Regular turkeys can be found scattered across the map. Players will likely spend more time skinning than fighting them.

1. Diamond Gypsum - (20% Drop Chance)

Daily Limit: 6 per day.

2. Turkey’s Treasure - (33% Drop Chance)

Daily Limit: 3 per day.

Contains coin.

3. Turkulon’s Claw Skinning Knife - (20% Drop Chance)

Limit: One per event.

Provides extra loot (Poultry, Poultry Thigh, Poultry Breast) when skinning Turkeys, both during and after the event.

Turkulon's Claw Skinning Knife Rewards From Regular Turkeys

Skin regular turkeys with the event-specific Turkulon Skinning Knife for additional loot:

1. Infused Turkey Coating (15% Drop Chance)

Daily Limit: 5 per day.

Major damage boost against Turkulon.

Minor damage boost against other beasts.

This item will no longer be available after the event.

2. Infused Turkey Ward Potion (15% Drop Chance)

Daily Limit: 5 per day.

Major damage absorption from Turkulon’s attacks.

Minor damage absorption from other beasts.

This item will no longer be available after the event.

3. Turkey Luck Potion (15% Drop Chance)

Daily Limit: 5 per day.

Increases the chance of receiving each Turkulon drop by 5% for 5 minutes.

This item will no longer be available after the event.

4. Diamond Gypsum (20% Drop Chance)

Daily Limit: 6 per day.

Turkulon Drops

Players are guaranteed to receive all of the rewards after killing Turkulon 16 times. For instance, if someone has yet to receive the Feat-O-Plenty Food Trophy after 15 kills, then Turkulon will drop it on his next death. Similarly, if they only had the trophy after 15 kills, then the loot from the following Turkulon kill would include the pet, seat, and boots skin rewards.

1. The Grand Gobbler War Hammer skin - (20% Drop Chance)

Limit: One per event.

2. Massive Turkey Leg - (100% Drop Chance)

Temporarily increases Constitution and Luck.

Slowly recovers health.

Potency scales depending on player level.

Daily Limit: 5 per day

Used to craft special Roasted Monstrous Turkey Dinner.

3. Feat-O-Plenty Food Trophy - (7% Drop Chance)

Limit: One per event

Increases duration of all Food effects when placed in your house.

4. Turkuless, Disgruntled Fowl Pet - (12% Drop Chance)

Limit: One per event.

Makes "gobble-gobble" sounds while it sits in your house.

5. Turkulon Egg Seat - (9% Drop Chance)

Limit: One per week.

6. Turkulon’s Juicy Calves Boots Skin - (20% Drop Chance)

Limit: One per event.

Tips for Killing Turkulon

Group up with other players to take Turkulon down quicker. As a large HP boss, teamwork is important.
Use the event-specific consumables that can be obtained - the Infused Turkey Coating and Ward Potion. These provide damage boosts/absorption against Turkulon.
Equip and utilize Turkulon's Claw skinning knife. This allows skinning regular turkeys for additional consumables that help with Turkulon.
Consume the Turkey Luck Potion from skinning, as it increases the chance of receiving Turkulon drops by 5% for 5 minutes.
Skin as many regular turkeys as possible overall for extra resources like Diamond Gypsum to improve gear.
Focus damage on Turkulon if in a group to ensure hitting the 1% threshold required for loot eligibility.
Check the interactive map and expertise of Turkulon's spawn points/rotations to hunt efficiently.
Continue to challenge Turkulon (aim for 16 kills total) to guarantee all rare drop rewards via the built-in pity system.
