D2R Ladder Season 3 Start Date & Season 2 End Date | Diablo 2 Resurrected 2.6 Release Dates
12/16/2022 3:18:02 PM

Here we talk about the next ladder reset dates in Diablo 2 Resurrected, featuring the D2R 2.6 Release Date, Season 2 End Date, and Season 3 Start Date.

D2R 2.6 Relase Date & Ladder Season 3 Start Date

Diablo 2 Resurrected 2.6 Ladder Reset Schedule - D2R 2.6 Patch Release Time & Season 3 Start Date

When does Diablo 2 Resurrection Season 3 start? Although Blizzard added new terror zones and sunder charms in Season 2 to change the gameplay to keep the game fresh, as the season has entered its third month, we are starting to look forward to the new season and are eager to know what Blizzard is doing. So let's explore when we will have a new ladder reset, which is when D2R Season 2 is coming to an end and Season 3 is about to begin.

Diablo 2 Resurrected Ladder Reset

When is the next Diablo 2 resurrection ladder reset? Before the release of Ladder Season 1, Blizzard's goal is to implement a 4-month update season in Diablo 2 Resurrected. However, Ladder Season 1 ended up lasting more than five months, from April 28th to October 5th. And version updates will follow this timeline, for example, the launch of the D2R 2.5 update happened about five months and one week after the release of the D2R 2.4 patch. But we believe Blizzard still wants to keep the 4-month season commitment, and there may have been unplanned delays due to difficulties with Terror Zones going live and testing. Therefore, we can still use this as a benchmark to judge that Ladder Reset will happen every 4-5 months in D2R.

Diablo 2 Resurrected 2.6 Release Date

Generally, first, there is a PTR of about two weeks to test patch content, then updates are released, and then the ladder resets two weeks later. If Blizzard manages to achieve the 4 monthly season schedule, it means that we are likely to see the D2R Patch 2.6 PTR will be launched at the end of December or early January 2023, and the Diablo 2 Resurrected 2.6 Patch will be released sometime at the end of January or early February.

D2R Ladder Season 3 Start Date

We don’t know the exact date of the 2.6 ladder reset, but based on the above schedule of Ladder Reset and 2.6 Patch, if there are not many additions or changes related to gameplay in the game in season 3, for example, assuming that there is no such thing as Terror Zones Due to the delay in the start of the season, we can expect the Diablo 2 Resurrected Season 3 start on some day in mid-February 2023.

D2R Ladder Season 2 End Date

Generally, the ladder season ends when the new season starts, so Diablo 2 Resurrected Season 2 End Date may also be set for a date in mid-February of 2023.

D2R Previous Season Reset Schedule

We're currently in the middle of D2R Ladder Season 2, which kicks off on October 6th, and exact dates for the release of D2R 2.6 Patch and Season 3 are yet to be known. But we use the previous season's release schedule as a guide:

  • Diablo 2 Resurrected Patch 2.4 PTR Start & End Date (ladder testing) - March 2nd to March 9th, 2022

  • Diablo 2 Resurrected 2.4 Release Date - April 14th, 2022

  • Diablo 2 Resurrected Ladder Season 1 Start & End Date - April 28th to October 6th, 2022

  • Diablo 2 Resurrected Patch 2.5 PTR Start & End Date - August 25th to September 19th, 2022

  • Diablo 2 Resurrected 2.5 Release Date - September 22nd, 2022

  • DR2 Season 2 Start Date (Ladder Reset) - October 6th, 2022

These are our predictions for when will Season 3 start in Diablo 2 Resurrected. If Blizzard sticks to its tight Ladder reset schedule, these predictions will be entirely reliable, and even if there is a delay, we're sure it will follow the Season 1-2 release schedule. We'll make sure to update the article once we have new information about the D2R ladder reset and patch 2.6. Stay Tuned!
