FIFA 23 Winter Rating Refresh Rules 2023 - Winter Refresh Upgrade Criteria

Winter Refresh Upgrade Criteria

Only players who are receiving a +3 OVR upgrade from their current base item are eligible to receive a player upgrade.

In-form Winter Refresh Upgrade Criteria

If an upgraded player’s new OVR rating and/or face stats do not equal or surpass his existing in-form's rating, his IFs will not get an upgrade.
If an upgraded player’s new OVR rating or face stats equal or surpass his existing first in-form's rating, his IFs will get an upgrade:
World Cup Players will also be upgraded.
Future Stars Objectives Players will not be upgraded.

When Do Winter Upgrades/Downgrades Come Out On FIFA 23

FIFA 23 Winter Refresh is expected to be available from early February 2023 in FIFA Ultimate Team featuring Winter Refresh Team, Prime Icons and base stats upgrades. Once this promo happens, the ratings of top performers and poorly performing footballers will be updated. The event will also feature new league SBC rewards and special packs for a limited time.

New League SBC Rewards: During the Winter Refresh event (Feb), every League SBC will have a new player added to the Player Pick rewards for completing the group SBC. The Premier League and the EFL Championship will be the first leagues updated in February, with the rest of the leagues receiving updates throughout the Winter Refresh. Additional new player pick rewards will be added to select League SBCs after Winter Refresh through the course of FIFA 23 Ultimate Team.
Special Packs: The FUT 23 Winter Refresh team will be likely in packs.
