If you're an online player and want to do public Chaos runs, maxing out Conviction aura is helpful for the party, but if you're taking on the more solo approach, you should just use Redemption over Conviction, the majority of FOH damage comes from the Holy Bolt, which is all magic damage. You can farm some new Terror zones such as The Forgotten Tower and The Pit for a chance at one of the new sunder grand charms, and they could make you extremely wealthy, after you gain enough currency you can make a hybrid hammerdin smiter with Enigma and clear almost all the content.

Best Way of D2R 2.5 Ladder Season 2 Paladin Leveling & Farming

When it comes to leveling, this is a playthrough from FrankieFresh.

- In normal, you will be mainly using the skill Holy Fire and Zeal, farm Countess until you get D2 runes Tal and Eth, so you can make the runeword Stealth, acquire Tir and El and put them into a scimitar and craft the Steel runeword, which works well with Zeal while you Holy Fire way to level 18.

- When you are at level 18, you could do your first respec into Blessed Hammer, you'll be using this skill all the way through Hell Baal. If you're leveling with a group of eight players and have three paladins designate specific auras for each of them, there should be a Concentration, a Conviction and a Salvation Paladin, so you killed normal Baal go into Cows and farm for a plain white Crystal Sword, use your socket quest for a total of 4 sockets.

- When you're around level 26, you can start farming nightmare Countess and Forgotten Tower, after acquiring Tal, Thul, Ort, and Amn these four runes, you can make a Spirit sword. you can pretty much farm Nightmare Countess until level 40, if you find some Sol runes, you can make a Lore helm and try out an Act 1 freezing arrow mercenary with an Insight bow.

- After Hell Baal, farm some Cows with Blessed Hammer and search for a decent plain white Paladin base shield with high resist, use another socket quest on a Sacred Targe shield and create your second Spirit.

- Look for decent res items and a Teleport staff which you can find from Drognanin Act 2 nightmare, jump into public Chaos runs until around level 75, you can stay Hammers, but respecting the Fist of the Heavens is probably better when you hit Level 75.

- You'll be setting up a tent in the Chaos Sanctuary, this is one of the best areas to farm and as long as you have your dual Spirits, Lore Helm, and decent resistances, you'll be able to clear the area efficiently on day one.
