NBA 2K22 Season 8 Best Dribbling Moves

In season 8, they added 10 new dribble moves, we will compare them with the old ones, and tell you the best dribble moves to use in each sort:

Dribble Style - Quick

The only dribble style that they added this season is Kemba Walker, and this one is not awful but it's not great, it's kind of in the middle. This new dribble style reminds us of Paul George's dribble style that gives you a quick speed boost, but with Kemba Walker, it's just like a little bit slower, so if you want a dribble style that's kind of like that then we would say go with Paul George. But in our opinion the best Dribble Style animation is Quick, it gives us the most explosive moves especially when it comes to your misdirection behind the back.

Signature Size-Up - Drew Rose

2K actually added four new Signature Size-Ups into Season 8. The first one that they added this season is going to be Ja Morant, as you know, he's a pretty good playmaker in real basketball, but in this game, his Signature Size-Up is really clunky and it's honestly one of the slowest exercises that we've seen them add this year, so we suggest you stay away from this one. The next one that they added in season 8 is going to be Jamal Murray, which is a little bit better than Ja Morant but also still clunky and slow, so we definitely would not recommend this one either.

The third one they added in season 8 is John Wall, this one is quick but to be honest, is also pretty slow and weird, so you would not use this one either as there are just way better options.

The fourth and final one that they added in season 8 is Jay Williams and we are going, to be honest, to say that this is by far the best one that they added in this patch, but it doesn't give us the glitchy crossover. You're going to need a different size up in order to do that and Jay Williams is just not that one but it is the best method in season 8.

When it comes to the best Signature Size-Up to use, obviously all builds do not have all the Drew Rose unlocked, but if you have him unlocked, this is by far the best Signature Size-Up dribble animation in the game. All the stage guards use D. Rose, unless you can't get this move, there's no reason for you not to use it because it will be able to give you the glitchy crossover. You can also De'Aaron Fox as as an alternative if you have that and then Donovan Mitchell is another solid option.

Signature Combos - Kemba Walker

In Season 8, they actually added three new Signature Combos. The first one they added is Stephen Curry, this one has a pretty quick speed boost out of it like off the first move, to activate it basically what you to do is hold the right trigger or R2 and then just flick up on the right stick and it's going to play out a sequence of moves. If you want to run off the first crossover or the first move, it actually gives you a pretty quick speed boost, but we are still not going to suggest you use this. The next one that they added in season 8 is Steve Francise, it's a little bit more flashy than Stephen Curry and again off the first move we did notice some pretty quick speed boost, so if you're into signature combos we mean this one's pretty solid when it comes to the speed boost off the first move. The third and final Signature Combo that they added in Season 8 is going to be Kemba Walker, this is probably the best dribble move that they added in all of season 8 which gives like a weird hitch on the first move that looks kind of clean, so we recommend you to test out this one in Season 8!

Size-Up Escape Packages - Trey Young

The only animation added in season 8 is Kyrie Irving. Though Kyrie Irving is one of the three best dribblers in NBA history, this animation is probably one of if not the worst size of escape package we've seen added into in NBA 2K22. You know that crab move that like long heavy like off to the side move that a lot of people do, Kyrie Irving's escape package gives you the worst move off since it moves your player over like an inch and it's really slow. So if you can get it, by far the best Size-Up Escape Package in the game is going to be Trey Young, it's been this way all year and not changing, which gives you the best like side to side, long thesis, the best behind the back, and it's just the best overall. If you do have Steph Curry which they dropped in Season 7, this is the second-best Size-Up Escape Package just because of the Curry slide but like the side to long hazies. We would still recommend using Trey Young if you can get this Size-Up Escape Package, but if you are a beginner or you're newer, the curry slide could help you out a lot because it's such a kill move for people that don't know a lot of moves.

Moving Crossovers - Giannis Antetokounmpo

For moving crossovers in season 8, there are no new ones unlocked, and the best one that we've been using the last couple of seasons is the one that gives us the cleanest moving crossover. If you're running down the court and you want to do a crossover, Giannis Antetokounmpo is going to give you the cleanest one, so still, put that on in Season 8!

Moving Behind The Back - Kawhi Leonard

For moving behind the backs in Season 8, also no new one is added into the game. But the best one the cleanest one in this season is still the smooth behind the back - Kawhi Leonard. We know there are people that like Damian Lillard, but the Kawhi Leonard moving behind the back is just so much quicker, and cleaner and that's going to be the one that we go with even though we don't really do behind the backs in-game.

Moving Spins - Penny Hardaway

Also, there is no new moving spin introduced in Season 8, while it doesn't really matter because in 2K22 no one really does spin moves unless you're a certain type of dribbler. But the one that we do recommend is Penny Hardaway.

Moving Hesitations - Kevin Durant

For moving hesitation in season 8, again they did not add a dribble move here, and the best one we recommend to use is Kevin Durant, but to be honest you don't ever need to do moving hesitation since this doesn't really matter.

Moving Step Backs - Giannis Antetokounmpo

For moving step backs, the new Steph Curry has been added in Season 8, and we think is the last move they added in the entire season. Steph Curry is not bad, you will see him doing it over there on the right side, but with this moving step back, you cannot asta, so we would not recommend this one. When it comes to which is the best one you should use, we would recommend Giannis Antetokounmpo because the fake peek is so quick. Fake peek is basically like you're about to stop in a diamond shoot but you keep running and a lot of defenders jump at it, and Giannis gives you the best one. But if you want to ask the slide which is a move that we've been doing a lot and it's just so effective especially if you play threes then surprisingly you actually want to put on Normal step back, because this is one of the most crucial dribble moves.

Triple Threat Styles - Normal 4

The best triple threat style in the game is going to be Normal 4, this has the Jordan in one hand, the best jab steps, and the best escape moves. Triple Threat Style is probably the most underrated animation package in the entire game, you can do so many different things to make yourself able to score, you can put on triple threat juke alongside a triple threat style and make it even more overpowered. But in our opinion, the best one in the game is Normal 4.

Park Flashy Passes - Wizard

Even though it's not a dribble move, the playmaking animations cover it. The Wizard makes a terrific fake pass in one direction while sending the ball flying in a different direction, which is ideal for making defenders in the park look absolutely bewildered.

NBA 2K22 Season 8 Best Jumpshots & Scoring Moves

When it comes to the best animations, always you need the best jump shots. Here we share with you the two best jump shots that you can really use on pretty much any build whether you're a big, a guard, or a lockdown:

Jumpshot 1

  • Base: Jump Shot 3

  • Release 1: Paul George

  • Release 2: Rudy Gay

  • Release Speed: Max

  • Animation Blending: 60% Release 1, 40% Release 2

If you're using pretty much anything except for just going for the fastest jump shot, this  is the best jump shot in the game.

Jumpshot 2

  • Base: Set Shot 25

  • Release 1: Rudy Gay

  • Release 2: Klay Thompson

  • Release Speed: Max Out

  • Animation Blending: 75% / 25%

If you want to go for it not just a good jump shot but also a fast jump slide so it's hard to get the timing, Set Shot 25 is almost probably the best option.

NBA 2K22 Season 8 Best Scoring Animations To Use
