Diablo 2 Resurrected Unique Amulet Tier List - Best & Worest D2R Unique Amulets
12/7/2021 6:15:50 PM

There are a lot of items in Diablo 2 Resurrected ranging from D2R uniques and runewords to crafted items and rares, even all the way to set items that boost each other up, one of the most essential slots for these items in Diablo 2 Resurrected is the Amulet Slot. And while they receive tough competition from crafted items and even sets, the unique amulets are still extremely solid options for everything from early game to end game. So in this D2R guide, we're going to take a look at them and discuss the wide array of uses they have.

Best D2R Unique Amulets - Diablo 2 Resurrected Unique Amulets Tier List

To minimize rage, we're actually going to do an experiment and sort them from lowest level requirement up to highest level requirements since this gives them all a fair chance to shine in their own individual niches, of which most of them have at least one use that they are actually amazing in.

1. Mara's Kaleidoscope Amulet

Mara's Kaleidoscope is probably the most well-known of these last three, the reality is that it's probably the most generic definition of good in the game, has plus skills, plus attributes and plus all resists. It's just a really good amulet for whenever you don't know what amulet to wear but can almost always be improved on by a good rare or crafted plus skills amulet. For its level requirement, it's still good and it is one that you will just dump on characters if you need that plus all skills and just some resists.

Mara's Kaleidoscope

Mara's KaleidoscopeRequired Level: 67
+2 To All Skills
All Resistances +20-30 (varies)
+5 To All Attributes

(Only Spawns In Patch 1.09 or later)

2. The Cat's Eye Amulet

The Cat's Eye is an amulet that most new players will overlook and it packs the distinction of being an amazing speed oriented amulet. With faster run walk and increase attack speed on an amulet, packed with some defensive boosts and a fairly solid chunk of dexterity. It's actually a really good amulet that suffers a fate similar to safety amulets in that it's overlooked because people who know how it works realize how good it is, but for some reason, most people outside of that don't catch on to it because it's not the popular end game GG item.

The Cat's Eye

The Cat's EyeRequired Level: 50
+30% Faster Run/Walk
+20% Increased Attack Speed
+100 Defense Vs. Missile
+100 Defense
+25 To Dexterity
(Only Spawns In Patch 1.09 or later)

3. Seraph's Hymn Amulet

Seraph's Hymn is an interesting amulet, it's got plus two all skills and plus two defensive auras, as well as boost for dealing with demons and undead which makes it a fairly good amulet if you have all of your speed and defensive bases covered and you just want an easier time against well undead and demons. That said this amulet has another rather odd distinction though and that is how it is the only amulet that has a guaranteed sprite the sunburst face, it's not distinct since other amulets can have that sprite but it is the only one that regardless of how it looks unidentified will always become that sprite when identified.

Seraph's Hymn

Seraph's HymnRequired Level: 65
+2 To All Skills
+1-2 To Defensive Auras (Paladin Only) (varies)
+25-50% Damage To Demons (varies)
+150-250 To Attack Rating Against Demons (varies)
+25-50% Damage To Undead (varies)
+150-250 To Attack Rating Against Undead (varies)
+2 To Light Radius
(Ladder Only)
(Only Spawns In Patch 1.10 or later)

4. Highlord's Wrath Amulet

Highlord's Wrath is one of only two amulets with increased attack speed, it also packs plenty of other really good mods like plus skills, lightning resists even a scaling chance of a deadly strike. It is a good amulet for most martial builds that need attack speed and deal physical damage, it's a hard one to beat in quite a few builds out of some very good rare or crafted amulets.

Highlord's Wrath

Highlord's WrathRequired Level: 65
+1 To All Skills
+20% Increased Attack Speed
+ (0.375 Per Character Level) 0-37 % Deadly Strike (Based On Character Level)
Lightning Resist +35%
Adds 1-30 Lightning Damage
Attacker Takes Lightning Damage Of 15
(Only Spawns In Patch 1.09 or later)

5. Metalgrid Amulet

Metalgrid is the highest level requirement unique amulet in Diablo 2 Resurrected, with some charges you'll never use but also all resists, plus defense, plus attack rating, at first it may not seem useful but this is actually one of the equipment options people use to help improve their chances against things like ubers. It is not the best but it is still a lot better than it looks at first glance, it's rarity carries with it a bit of intrinsic values since it can't drop very many places.

Metalgrid

MetalgridRequired Level: 81
+400-450 To Attack Rating (varies)
Level 22 Iron Golem (11 Charges)
Level 12 Iron Maiden (20 Charges)
All Resistances +25-35 (varies)
+300-350 Defense (varies)
(Ladder Only)
(Only Spawns In Patch 1.10 or later)

6. The Mahim-Oak Curio Amulet

The Mahim-Oak Curio is a solid all-rounder amulet, though this time leaning a bit more into the melee character field. It has a few stats that make it distinct, namely 10% bonus to attack rating and off armor, 10% enhanced defense which basically functions like a defiant style boost. On top of that, it also has plus all attributes and resists which just makes it nice and general to have for that little bit of extra durability that those are going to give you.

7. The Eye of Etlich Amulet

The Eye of Etlich Amulet has the distinction of being the earliest plus all skills amulet in the game outside of the three-part angelic bonus. This amulet is just all around nice and can be gotten super early with plus skills life leech and a pinch of cold damage to slow enemies down, it's one of those amulets that can almost be useful on any low level character and they'll be glad to find and use it. Even though it's not necessarily end-game equipment it's still quite solid.

8. The Rising Sun Amulet

The Rising Sun is another good but under-appreciated amulet or basically what happens if you took Nokozan's fire theme to heart, packing a meteor when hit fire damage, fire absorb and replenish life. The Rising Sun is most known for its plus two fire skills, which do indeed function just like the plus skills on mage magefists and leaf giving bonuses, not only to the sorceress firetree but also to things like holy fire on the paladin, corpse explosion on the necromancer, armageddon on the druid and a ton of other similar skills. It is not the best in slot but is fun absolutely at least on some of the more weird and eccentric builds.

9. Nokozan Relic Amulet (Lowest Level Requirement)

Nokozan Relic is an interesting little amulet that at first, you'll likely notice is an overarching fire theme with fire resist boosts and a minuscule amount of fire damage. But what sets it apart is actually the first line: 20% faster hit recovery, one of only two sources of this stat on an amulet and it's the only one that is at twenty percent. While it's not going to usually make or break a build, it could be key to hitting the next breakpoint especially on certain niche builds that it benefits.

10. Atma's Scarab Amulet

Atma's Scarab is a unique amulet you would have a love & hate kind of relationship with in that it's one of those uniques that you would love to plug into a lot of builds, but that generally doesn't fit into too many. While it has a few good boosts like poison resist and a whopping 20% attack rating boost. What it is most well known for and why it didn't get more boost is because they gave it a chance to cast amplified damage, making it an exceptionally great tool for pure physical builds to break through immunes consistently and reliably. Some players love it but it's only going to be used on very specific builds.

11. Saracen's Chance Amulet

Saracen's Chance is a good but not great mid-level amulet, most known for being the iron maiden amulet, it also packs attributes and resists that make it a reasonable pick for a lot of characters. Though unfortunately not best in slot since it could be pretty easily outclassed by rares of a similar level, would we say no to it but it's never really our first pick for any kind of like normal build.

12. Crescent Moon Amulet

Crescent Moon is the dual leech amulet usually packing fairly decent percents for both life leech and mana leech among some other mods. It's still a good amulet especially while you're still getting your mana in check for a build like a strafer or a frenzy barb. It will eventually be outclassed by other uniques and rares, but it's still a fairly good amulet if you do need that leech.
