As we are getting closer to the end of 2020, EA Sports will put together the list of players nominated for the FIFA 21 Team of the Year in December; while the 11 winners of TOTY will drop into the game in January 2021, if nothing unexpected happens. To help you get ahead idea, here we make a predicted list of the FIFA 21 TOTY candidates and final lineup, also cover the information you should know about the annual event including its release dates.

FIFA 21 Team of The Year (TOTY)

Team of the Year (TOTY) in FIFA Ultimate Team is a community selection of the top 11 players from 55 nominees who did outstanding performance in the past calendar year. These special versions of TOTY cards are recognizable by their blue and black colors, and especially their overall rating which is very high.

EA chose a list of 55 players, spanning goalkeepers, defenders, midfielders, and attackers, and asked a group of media, athletes, and members of the FIFA community to vote for their best players. Votes are based on actual performance from last year, with 60% of the final votes coming from this group of commissioners and the remaining 40% being decided by EA Sports. The list of nominees is usually be announced in December, while the final Team of the Year released in January (about 1 month after the announcement of TOTY nominees), then you are able to obtain these best-rated TOTY player cards in packs for a limited time or buy them from transfer market with a huge of FIFA coins.

How will TOTY schedule this year be arranged? We haven’t received any information from EA, but we do think there will not much change from previous years. So we expect that FIFA 21 Team of The Year will be scheduled:

FIFA 21 TOTY Nominees Release Date:

In FIFA 20, the list of TOTY nominees was released at 4 pm (UK time), December 12, 2019. However, the announcement of FIFA 21 TOTY nominees is delayed, and we predict it would be scheduled on 24th December.

Note: At the same time, Team of the Year nominees will be available in FUT packs and the TOTY voting for community open.

TOTY cards have become the most desired card in FUT with its highest rating. Through packs, you can get TOTY cards, but you need a lucky hand for this. The chance is slim, but there is. Important: A pack must be able to contain rare gold players in order to have a chance of a TOTY player. There are also special pack offers during the TOTY event.
