D2R Ladder Season 4 Release Date - When Is Ladder Season 4 Diablo 2 Resurrected & D4 Server Slam
4/23/2023 5:29:40 PM

The current season feels like it's already over, and people are already looking forward to the ladder season reset for Diablo 2 Resurrected season 4 and patch 2.7. Some of you maybe have seen there was a live stream on YouTube where the developers talked about Diablo 4 and also released the date for the new Diablo 2 Resurrected season. So this article explains all the information about the D2R Ladder Season 4 start date & patch 2.7 and Season 3 end date, as well as the release of D4 Server Slam.

D2R Ladder Season 4 Start Date

D2R Next Ladder Reset - When Will Season 3 End & Season 4 Start in Diablo 2?

We don’t have a specific end time for Ladder Season 3, but you can expect it to wrap up shortly before Season 4 launches, which will be on May 4th. So in Europe, it may happen at 2 o'clock in the night on Friday the 5th of May. As for the release date of patch 2.7 in D2, we can expect it to coincide with or be near the start of Season 4. So whoever plans to play the upcoming ladder and upcoming patch has some time to get ready for it.

Season 3 will be shorter than ever a season was before, but considering the fact, that's not so bad.

What Happens to Your Shared Stash Loot After Season 3 Ends?

Once Diablo 2 ladder Season 3 ends, all ladder characters will be transferred to their respective non-ladder group. All items in that character group’s shared stash go into a new Withdraw Only set of Shared Stash tabs, denoted by a check marked Past box. Any items from ladder Season 3 stored in the Withdraw Only tabs will be lost at this time. You will have all of Ladder Season 4 to withdraw any items you would like to keep from Season Three. When Ladder Season 4 ends, this withdraw only set of stash tabs will be overridden with any items in the Ladder Season 4 Shared Stash. Be sure to get any items out before then or they will be forever lost!

Diablo 4 Server Slam

From the Diablo 4 update live stream for April 2023, we can know that there will be a special special announcement for the Server Slam, from the weekend of the 12th to the 14th and the level cap is going to be level 20. Old characters can not be used on the Diablo 4 Server Slam, so you have to level up again. There is also going to be a special cosmetic that you can earn for killing Ashava. Since it’s 5 lower than the last beta, it’s going to be a little bit more different to kill Ashava.

Further, they changed some details, dungeons, will get new structures, so that you don't have to walk back from that ends. And there are also again some goodies for playing. For the stress test, they want as many people to come and play as possible.

Conclusion

Diablo 2 Resurrected Season 4 officially launches on May 4th. On the Europe server, it probably will be May 5th at 2 am. The following weekend from May 12th to May 14th there will be an extra beta testing for Diablo 4. Putting season 4 at the same time as the Diablo 4 release would obviously be a bad idea and also 2 or 3 weeks after release, the hype will still be real. So it's the best decision to let D2R season 4 start before the Diablo 4 release.
