Diablo 2 Resurrected Unique Scepters Guide & Tier List - Powerful Weapons You Forgot About
1/25/2022 5:00:40 PM

In Diablo 2, the unique scepters may not be used as much as other blunt weapons, but they still offer some very interesting options especially if you consider that they're not only valuable to Paladins but also to Barbarians since mace mastery also applies to staves, wands and scepters. They are still insanely powerful beasts until you're able to get together your high runes for end-game gear. Here‘s the D2R unique scepters guide & tier list.

Diablo 2 Resurrected Unique Scepters Guide & Tier List

Normal Unique Scepters In D2R:

1. Knell Striker

Knell Striker

Knell StrikerOne-Hand Damage: 10 To (18-19) (14-14.5 Avg)
Required Level: 5
Required Strength: 25
Durability: 50
Base Weapon Speed: [0]
+70-80% Enhanced Damage (varies)
+50% Damage To Undead
25% Chance Of Crushing Blow
+35 To Attack Rating
Poison Resist +20%
Fire Resist +20%
+15 To Mana
(Only Spawns In Patch 1.09 or later)

A very solid weapon for only requiring level 5 and 25 strength with really good enhanced damage for the level and +35% attack rating boost, +20% fire and poison resist boosts that alone would make this a good low level weapon but add in the 25% crushing blow and you have another low level competitor on par with weapons like rxit's keen, which basically can be used from start to finish in normal if you're lucky enough to find them.

2. Rusthandle Grand

It’s not quite as broken but it's still solid and that's rust handle, +1 to paladin skills, +59% enhanced damage keeping it from being good upgrade candidate. But with the life leech and skill boost, it can do enough work to carry its weight through normal until you can find something better. And with holy fire paladins being a very common low level build for getting through normal, that plus skill does go a bit further than one would normally expect.

3. Stormeye

Stormeye

StormeyeOne-Hand Damage: (18-22) To (30-37) (24-29.5 Avg)
Required Level: 30
Required Strength: 55
Durability: 70
Base Weapon Speed: [-10]
+80-120% Enhanced Damage (varies)
+50% Damage To Undead
Adds 3-5 Cold Damage, Cold Duration: 3 seconds
Adds 1-6 Lightning Damage
Replenish Life +10
+1 To Fist Of The Heavens (Paladin Only)
+3 To Holy Shock (Paladin Only)
+3-5 To Resist Lightning (Paladin Only) (varies)
(Only Spawns In Patch 1.09 or later)

It is good but not great though due to the level requirement that begins counting as a bit more of a ding against it, it does have okay enhanced damage of 10%, but it is plus elemental damage is just paltry. So the only real use of this scepter ends up being mediocre physical damage whenever you can use it, +10% replenish life and maybe making it worth switching over to a holy shock build, but there are much better options for that even early on. So it basically gets relegated to only being used if you find it in a solo self-found run and still haven't found a better weapon.

Exceptional Unique Scepters In D2R:

1. Zakarum’s Hand

Zakarum's Hand

Zakarum's HandOne-Hand Damage: (36-41) To (67-76) (51.5-58.5 Avg)
Required Level: 37
Required Strength: 58
Durability: 50
Base Weapon Speed: [0]
+180-220% Enhanced Damage (varies)
+50% Damage To Undead
30% Increased Attack Speed
6% Chance To Cast Level 5 Blizzard On Striking
8% Mana Stolen Per Hit
Ignore Target's Defense
Regenerate Mana 10%
Heal Stamina Plus 15%
+2 To Holy Shock (Paladin Only)
+2 To Holy Freeze (Paladin Only)
(Only Spawns In Patch 1.09 or later)

It is an actually fun mid-level zealot weapon with a solid attack speed of +30%, good enhanced damage of +191%, it's a good option for a zealot and easily beats out stormeye if you're going the auradon zealot route with holy shock or holy freeze in nightmare, since it provides another boost to those as well. And while it's not especially powerful, the chance to cast blizzard on striking does give you a pinch of area elemental damage for helping with the physical resistant or immune enemies if you are not going the origin route.

2. The Fetid Sprinkler

An underrepresented weapon mostly due to its slower attack speed, it sits in a weird space with its abilities, packing plus skills, decent +185% enhanced damage, +169% attack rating and +160% poison damage, it would still be a solid weapon without his chance to cast abilities, but with them it gets a bit confused albeit still functional since it runs two curses on striking. A 10% chance of casting well confused and a 5% chance of decrepify, it won't be consistent and it would be better with just decrepify but they're both good control curses at least.

3. Hand of Blessed Light

Hand of Blessed Light

Hand of Blessed LightOne-Hand Damage: (56-61) To (132-143) (94-102 Avg)
Required Level: 42
Required Strength: 103
Durability: 70
Base Weapon Speed: [-10]
+130-160% Enhanced Damage (varies)
Adds 20-45 Damage
+50% Damage To Undead
+2 To Paladin Skill Levels
100% Bonus To Attack Rating
Regenerate Mana 15%
+50 Defense
5% Chance To Cast Level 4 Fist Of Heavens On Striking
+2 To Fist Of The Heavens (Paladin Only)
+4 Holy Bolt (Paladin Only)
+4 To Light Radius
(Only Spawns In Patch 1.09 or later)

The unique scepter that often gets mislabeled as the Fist of the Heavens scepter thanks to the obvious plus skills. But the reality is it's a fairly decent scepter that just happens to have skill bumps, this is mostly because it's got a reasonable speed weapon with good damage and attack rating boost, that's fairly solid. It will hit hard enough to get your basic needs taken care of.

Elite Unique Scepters In D2R:

1. Heaven’s Light

Heaven's Light

Heaven's LightOne-Hand Damage: (140-160) To (182-208) (161-184 Avg)*
Required Level: 61
Required Strength: 125
Required Dexterity: 65
Durability: 50
Base Weapon Speed: [0]
+250-300% Enhanced Damage (varies)
+50% Damage To Undead
-33% Target Defense
+20% Increased Attack Speed
33% Chance of Crushing Blow
+15-20 Life After Each Demon Kill (varies)
+2-3 To Paladin Skill Levels (varies)
+3 To Light Radius
Socketed (1-2) (varies)*
(Ladder Only)
(Only Spawns In Patch 1.10 or later)

It has solid +20% increased speed, plus skills -33% target defense and +293% enhanced damage which would make it okay on its own, but his weapon has those alongside natural sockets and crushing blow, allowing you to turn it into a fairly dangerous one-handed weapon in its own at least until you find the runes for something like grief.

2. The Redeemer

It packs the elusive damage plus modifier and in a decent value as well. Beyond that though it's your fairly run-of-the-mill unique pallet inceptor with plus skills, damage boost, etc, along with a little defense piercing and extra low stat requirements. Though one of the plus skill bumps, it gives redemption, it's a nice little pocket rejuvenation potion made of corpses, so you can sneak a sip without having to invest in all of the prerequisites for redemption which is kind of a nice thing to have.

3. Astreon’s Iron Ward

Astreon's Iron Ward

Astreon's Iron WardOne-Hand Damage: (125-144) To (146-167) (135.5-155.5 Avg)
Required Level: 66
Required Strength: 97
Required Dexterity: 70
Durability: 70
Base Weapon Speed: [-10]
+240-290% Enhanced Damage (varies)
Damage +40-85 (varies)
+50% Damage To Undead
Adds 80-240 Magic Damage
33% Chance of Crushing Blow
Slows Target By 25%
Damage Reduced By 4-7 (varies)
+2-4 To Combat Skills (Paladin Only) (varies)
+10% Increased Attack Speed
150-200% Bonus To Attack Rating (varies)
(Only Spawns In Patch 1.10 or later)

Simply put this unique scepter slaps in a lower value version of that damage plus modifier, but adds in the 30% chance of crushing blow and slow target by 25% to help it out a bit. As far as the plus skills, this one's limited to combat skills rather than all skills, so it won't bump your auras any but it's fine, and this also gives you a chunk of pure 80-240 magic damage as well as a hefty bump to 170% attack rating to help you head even more. It's a solid weapon if you find it, but its base makes it painfully hard to find for its strength since you'll usually find stuff for grief long before finding a unique caduceus.
