Best Place to Find Diablo 2 Resurrected Crown of Ages

The Diablo 2 Resurrected item Crown of Ages is a unique corona and very powerful crown. It can roll with 10 to 15 damage reduction and between 20 and 30 to all resistances, it comes with +1 to all skills, a 30% faster hit recovery, and 1 to 2 sockets meaning that you can put a couple of topaz in here to increase your magic find or a couple of D2R runes to increase your resistance. The Crown of Ages has an item level of 86, which means there are certain areas that you have to go to, in order to have monsters that are a high enough level to be able to drop the Crown of Ages, take a look at some of those places based on the video by Old School Game Snob.

The actual bosses which are capable of dropping the Crown of Ages include Baal and Nihlathak, not a great chance on Nihlathak, about 1 in 150,000, Baal has 1 in 13,000 drop chance, the probability is not the best but this is the only boss that can drop it. In order for a monster to be capable of dropping an item, its monster level must equal or exceed the item level being dropped. When it comes to Super unique bosses, for example, Pindleskin has a 1 in 25,000 chance, that's rough twice as bad maybe give or take, it takes four or five or six minutes depending on your character to farm Baal, where it takes like 30 seconds or 20 seconds to farm Pindleskin. Pindleskin is going to be much more likely suspect in terms of farming the Crown of Ages, but he is not the only option.

List of all places you can find the Crown of Ages

As the Crown of Ages is a level 86 D2R item, you need to find the places or areas with a level higher than level 83. The normal monsters are the same level as the area, the champion monsters plus two levels, the unique monsters plus three levels. So in a level 84 area, the champion monsters are level 86 and unique monsters are level 87, they can both drop the item. And in a level 83 area, the Crown of Ages only dropped from unique monsters.

- Ancient Tunnels: this is found in the lost city from the trap door for those newcomers to Diablo, Claw Viper Temple level 2 also has unique monsters which are capable of dropping Crown of Ages.

- Crypt: also has unique monsters capable of dropping the Crown of Ages, all of these unique monsters will have around the same chance of dropping it, although the champion monsters in some of these areas may not be high enough level, the unique monsters are just a little bit down.

- Kurast Causeway: you'll find stairs down to the Disused Reliquary with champion monsters that are capable of dropping the Crown of Ages.

- Drifter Cavern: another area has enough unique monsters, it is a level 84 area, so the champion monsters in here can also drop the Crown of Ages.

In a word, probably, the best chance is just to repeatedly farm Pindleskin over and over, all of the areas are fairly viable in terms of drop probability, they're all very comparable, so it has to do with monster density, how quickly you can clear the area depending on what character you're playing. Looking for the Crown of Ages is not easy to target farm, but if you were going to really target farm it, Pindleskin is a top choice.
